All of the hot weather being reported reminds me of my wife. She hates hot weather and prefers cold and snow. This picture was taken at her brothers house in Kentucky and she was so excited with 10 inches of snow. I was not with her and she left for home a few minutes after the picture. She ran into a Georgia ice storm and ran her car over the side of a mountain, landing in a snow bank. There was no real damage to the car and she had a good ride down the hill. She thought it was fun. Not meWow. My weather station says it is 95 degrees and a little over 60% humidity. And I still have to cut grass. Yuck.
Sadly that's pretty much how it is these days.this makes one want to collect the phones before they come into the house.
The artist should have made the kids fatter...

Ditto.Happy anniversary, Bert and Sherry.
Happy early 23rd Md!Mornin' D-League. Getting ready to send our son back to Lexington for his sophomore year. We helped him get a car over the summer, and he had a good few months, banking nearly $8,000 from his job with "College Hunks Hauling Junk." They really liked him and he's already been hired for weekends with the Lexington franchise.
Grinding out a tough work week, then will celebrate our 23rd anniversary on the weekend. Hope all is well with everyone.
Congrats Bert! Given today's divorce rate that's quite an accomplishment.Sherry and I had our 53rd Sunday.
What he said!Hope you have a good flight! Sorry you had to come back under the circumstances but I'm glad I got to meet ya. That was a great day!
The last time that we beat Auburn it was on their field. After the game an Auburn fan and an Alabama fan tried to scrap about something (they were too drunk to fight.)Good morning D League
Waking up to a nice sunrise and clear skies. The weather girl, Miss Martinez, says we are back in our normal summer pattern. Morning sunshine and late afternoon scattered showers. We are at 73° now and expect 90° for a high.
I am starting to see a lot of car flags on the local roads which means football is here. A few years back I stopped at a rest area on I75 in Georgia and there were fans of Tennessee and Alabama arguing in the parking lot and it came to blows. It was a hoot to see.
This coffee is really good but a glass of that fresh squeezed lemonade will be very refreshing about 2:00 PM. Have a great day.
I have seen this scene at our house many, many times.this makes one want to collect the phones before they come into the house.
That is my normal routine. I wake up automatically between 0330-0400 every morning. Drink one cup of coffee and then on to the shop for the workout in Warriors lair:Hey everyone,
After another blazing hot and extremely muggy high of 99 degrees yesterday, we're headed for another scorcher today. The local weather talking heads say that we might get some thunderstorms to cool us down later today and into the late week.
I've changed up my routine recently by doing my exercising very early in the morning. I've been waking up around 4:00 a.m. and going from there with the weights, walking/running, or whatever, then breakfast, and hopefully out the door by 6:15 to work. We'll see how it goes after the groggy adjustment period.
Another day, another dollar and so it goes. Have a good one and enjoy this day you've been given.
Well, he's has me envious now.My cousins son bringing in his first Amberjack. Caught it in the Gulf off of Destin and he did all of the work himself and it was work. They got four days meals out of it for the gang
.
Congrats buddy you earned it.
Man O Man! Shows a lot of character and love. Hat off to the both of you.Sherry and I had our 53rd Sunday.
104 here and I need to cut mine but will wait a day or two more. Hoping for some cloud cover.Wow. My weather station says it is 95 degrees and a little over 60% humidity. And I still have to cut grass. Yuck.
I saw a video of him reeling it in and that little fellow worked his butt off. He is quite the fisherman. The next day he couldn't raise his right arm He fishes every chance he gets and caught a small shark a few weeks ago.Well, he's has me envious now.

Sounds like a lot of money just going up in smoke.
iWow Bert. Congratulations. That's a remarkable run.
I think I recall that you - like me - are a history buff, so I'll share with you our anniversary plans: We've taken a room in the Willard Hotel for Friday and Saturday nights, and eating in a couple of the restaurants that had their roots back in the early days of DC, including the Old Ebbitt Grill -- where my wife and I used to go 30 years ago when we were first dating.
The Willard was the place Lincoln stayed after Pinkerton and his detectives snuck him into Washington in February 1861 through Baltimore, after he received death threats following his election.
He lived at the Willard until he was inaugurated and moved up the block into the White House. The Willard was home to lots of presidents before and after their terms, and was notorious as a place for deal making by influence peddlers. Ulysses Grant called the crowd hanging out there "lobbyists," and though he wasn't the first to use the name, it's application to the Willard crowd stuck.
Does he have an English Bulldog?I saw a video of him reeling it in and that little fellow worked his butt off. He is quite the fisherman. The next day he couldn't raise his right arm He fishes every chance he gets and caught a small shark a few weeks ago.
Bert's standing on one leg again. Must be 114 in Georgia. All the boys from the D, after much planning, were finally able to get together at Don's new place at the lake (the Queen Bee politely excused herself for the day)
A belated Happy 53rd. Wishing you many more.Sherry and I had our 53rd Sunday.
I believe I read you once considered Dripping Springs?Aargh. Az temps with Tejas humidity. I actually considered retiring to Texas but didn't for this very reason. The wife's dad was a rough Texan and she lived there briefly as a kid and still has a lot of family there.
Yeah, have a total gym too. It is said that you need to change up how you exercise and what you use to keep from plateauing. It also targets different muscle groups. That looks like a nice set-up you have there, complete with the kettlebells. Looks good.
Bert I sure pray you can get some relief on the pain and they can get down to the root of what is going on.It is 67.6°F here already and the humidity is 76% which is muggy. I lived 15 years in Jacksonville, FL and I never got used to the humidity or the bugs that bite. About one third of the railroad folks that I moved there with stayed. I came back to Kentucky mainly because of the weather and the folks. My families have been here since the end of the American Revolution, so it is home.
I got a trigger point injection in my right hips bursa. Bursitis in the hip apparently is what I have. They took a boatload of x-rays to see if my back could be contributing and I will find out. I now have to take some physical therapy.
