D-League

An even 95F °. I mowed the yard at noon CST and survived it. My low back is giving me fits. I will go on a phone quest to get to see a specialist tomorrow.

I plan to watch Mule tonight (the Clint Eastwood movie). I recorded it last night, just not in the mode for a movie.
Did you say NINETY FIVE or was that a mistype? 95 is hot I don't care where you live. But Kentucky? That is very near the record where I live and it has never hit 100. It has a little inland like Orlando but not on the coast.

Last night we had movie night and we watched the Aviator. A story about Howard Hughes. He was one of the most interesting characters in aviation history. Or any history for that matter. My wife took out of that movie that politics are a dirty business and got real upset when the Senator from Maine told him he could not fly his airline over seas and he would destroy him if he didn't like it. She said would the U.S.government really treat a citizen like that. We looked at each other and laughed. Yep they would.

I told my wife this was the last Saturday Night At The Movies for our house until after football and basketball. So that will take us deep into April 2020. Fortunately we are retired and can watch a movie any day but no Saturday or Sunday for a long time.

went to fair Saturday, based on video I've seen glad I wasn't there Saturday night.. Usual bunch creating the usual havoc they have to have to feel noticed..IWhen I was younger, I would have had to answer to my parents if I was involved in such things. Today's kids are held to no accountability what so ever...It starts at home.. It was hot and crowed during the day..

Today I installed a front wheel bearing on my vehicle. Heard it making noise this past week
Also did some outdoor cooking, then hit the pool for awhile.
Tomorrow putting rear brakes on my buddies taurus
trimmed bushes earlier this summer back farther than usual, still not showing any recovery so i guess when the weather cools down I will start pulling all the bushes out front for a replant ..house repairs and yard work have no end!

I didn't watch the news...was there trouble at the fair? Hell, I rarely watch the news anymore. Anyway, I'm going to assume that there were people (punks) (D's) acting poorly. Ooop's...I'm sorry if I offended anyone. When I said D's...I could have been saying Dragon ALIENS! So don't get all BENT out of shape. :alien::alien::alien:

I just finished this book earlier today. Good read but I'm an expert in quantum mechanics and there are some inconsistencies. The carburetor is never mentioned for instance. BTW, I'm a self diagnosed genius.

Good morning! What to do?

Pot roast turned out pretty good yesterday. Roast, taters, carrots, onions, salt, pepper. That's it. Sometimes simple food is the best food.

I'll be doing my usual Monday clean up around here today.

Went outside one time yesterday around 2100 to take the garbage to the street. Good plan.

I can drive to the golf course and get a free cup of coffee faster than I can make a cup here. Might not be a first world problem, but it sure is a first world dilemma.

Good morning from Orlando. Currently 78°F. Expecting a high of 91°F with a chance of afternoon showers.

My flight departs at 5:35 PM EST today. Scheduled arrival in ATX is 7:15 PM CST. Looking forward to returning to Austin. No more trips scheduled until last week in November. I'll drive out to KY again this coming fall.

We'll check back later. Y'all behave.

Morning D-League. Monday came too soon. Had a good weekend -- took my son to a Washington Nationals game and they hit EIGHT home runs (Milwaukee hit four) in a 16-8 game. Fun if you like offense. Some terrific defensive plays as well. We're Reds fans, but always like being at the ballpark with my son.

Now, back to the reality of work.

Got the first load of laundry done and the dishes are in the sink and soaking. I think one load will be enough for today.

I had some spaghetti sauce leftover but no spaghetti. Hmmm? Ok, I cooked up some ramen noodles without the spice packet and mixed in the sauce and fried it in a skillet. A little parmesan cheese to top it off and VIOLA! Breakfast!

95 degrees is actually pretty nice weather out our way.

Afternoon D.
Short hiatus over the weekend.
Golf scramble on Friday (I behaved) then went out Friday night for #1's birthday.
Worked Saturday morning then went car shopping with the redhead that afternoon. Test drove, made an offer but they didn't accept so we left. We're in no hurry...might do better towards the end of the month?
Went to church and hung out (not literally) around the house yesterday. Severe storm blew through & cooled things off for the evening. I stood on the front porch for most of it...the wind felt great.
Gotta go to Dalton GA tomorrow & Wednesday for a Supplier audit. It's still work but better than being AT work.
#3 starts his Sr yr of college today...good kid. Probably gets that from my side of the family....
:football: UK :football:

$112 for Russell Stover chocolates? What is that? About two boxes?
No, we got a lot of small bags of sugarless for wife and daughter then, clusters of dark chocolate/pecan, peanuts and cashews. All 1 lb boxes. Chocolate covered strawberries and a myriad of other chocolates most with a buy 2 get one free. loaded up for a while. I am a chocoholic.

Good afternoon from Orlando International Airport. Love this free WiFi. Flight departs in 53 minutes. Humidity today was fierce. Sweating my butt off on brother's porch.

Had a good trip, albeit short. Linked up with a few folks I'd not seen in many years.

I've got one free drink coupon remaining. Plan on using it on this flight.

We'll check back later tonight. Y'all behave.
