Had my first real eye exam today (Past in military were token besides, never had a problem hitting 300 meter targets so....). it was a two hour exam where I wound up having to get prescription reading glasses (maybe). I Think $5.00 specials at Dollar general work just as good as the $300.00 plus prescription ones.

Hello! I've been home for over an hour. Been talking to my wife and trying to catch up on here. Had a great time as always. I didn't finish my steak for the first time but I have a good excuse. Sherry made a fresh peach cobbler and I didn't want to take a risk and ruin my dessert. It's gonna go good with a couple of eggs in the morning.

Glad to be able to meet Eville.

I'm tarred...

Good morning D, coffees on and I am going fishing this morning! My fishing buddy and friend finally got a break from helping with his wife's parents so we are headed out later! Going to do some crappie and a little bass fishing. WC I am going to throw the WP, supposed to be some nice sized bass in the lake we are going to.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Bkocats, Oh to be only 50 again!

Guys ya'll were party not to far from the Berg, sounds like you had a great time. Y if you ever get down to the Berg Central City has a good golf course, also has a big tournament every year. Used to be called the Peabody, not sure what it's called now.

Ok ya'll have a great and safe day. Back at ya'll later!!

Bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, or that's what I heard one time![cheers] Root beer! Or a good day fishing helps cure a bad day at work!!!!! How's that?

The oldest known living green tree belongs to the long living species Pinus longaeva commonly known as the bristlecone pine, found in the United States of America with one member over 5000 years old.

Oldest plant perhaps one of the 12,000 year old creosote or yucca rings in the Mohave Desert.

Good Saturday morning D League

Looking out the window the weather seems to be a repeat of yesterday. The sun should be out as always. They use to give away a free newspaper if the sun didn't shine the day before but they stopped doing that because nobody reads a newspaper anymore. Times sure have changed. I remember my grandpa got an evening paper delivered around 5:00 every day and if Johnny Trout didn't bring it on time he was fit to be tied. He had to have that paper with his rocking chair on the front porch every day. Rain or shine. 5:00. Speaking of rain we may get a little today. Our current temperature is 75° with a high of 86°.

Sounds like the gang had a great time at Bert's. Good conversation and company with grilled steaks and peach cobbler. Does it get any better than that. I don't see how. And for a bonus with that brain power all under one roof all of our world problems are solved. We can relax, have another piece of peach cobbler and a cup of coffee. All is well. Now I made myself hungry so time to fry up a pan of sausage and get the weekend going.

Take care all

Good morning! I planned on sleeping til about 1000 but that didn't work out for me.

Bert and Sherry's is always great, but I think you guys should move a little closer to Louisville. In fact, I think Hurstbourne would be the perfect neighborhood for you. And you know, I bet you'd like to join the little country club they've got there. I'm pretty sure I would be able to get away a few times a week to play golf with you Bert.

Just something to think about. There's a month and a half of summer left so there's no need to rush.
