So to be clear, hitting a 3 to get his team to the elite 8 and taking it to OT despite the refs not calling fouls on the other team qualifies as a failure?

Herro did very well Here.

I'm betting elite 8 finishes will not get dogged as much in the current regime. They are the same thing though.

It’s like when I point out the fact that Rick Pitino went 1-3 in Final Fours and Cal went 1-4 at Kentucky.

And Dean Smith went 2-11 but it’s sacrilege to question his record

Didn't get a foul called on them the last 9 minutes of regulation.

Yep but compare that to the year before when the refs couldn't stop putting PJ on the line in the Sweet 16 vs. K-State. Oh that's right..the refs knew PJ couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat at the line that game. I studied up on how many times a UK player has shot 20+ free throws in an NCAA Tourney game and it was only like once ever or something crazy like that. Nobody will ever be able to convince me the refs didn't intentionally put PJ to the line over and over again that game after he showed he was struggling badly from the line that game. We couldn't buy a foul call for the final 9 minutes of regulation in the Elite 8 the next year vs. Auburn. The officiating is as crooked as can be in NCAA basketball and NCAA football.

Elite 8 losses to me are always the toughest and that 2019 game still stands out (maybe because that's the last time UK has advanced that far). Herro was 1/5 from 3 and finished with 7 points in that Auburn game and looked scared to death the entire time.

I like to call it “the miracle of miracles”…here Auburn was in foul trouble, and yet they somehow miraculously escape being called for a foul in the final 9:17 of regulation. (Refs were Mike Roberts, Terry Wymer, and Brian Dorsey) THEN we go to Overtime!
We were so close to another Final Four…what might have been….

How did we have 5 nba players on that roster and lost in E8
Same reason Zion's Duke team lost in the Elite 8. Making the Final Four is very hard to do even with best of teams. This board time and time again proves they just don't understand the nature of the tournament.

And we didn't have 5 NBA players on that roster. We had 5 college players who would go on to play in the NBA. Don't confuse the players some of those guys are now with the players they were then.

People are still beside themselves because Herro doesn’t act like a buttoned up frat boy clone like they expect him to. They always tell on themselves.

I don’t think he said that but he did say this

“He took a chance on me. I was a four-star recruit, and at the time at Kentucky he’s taking all five-stars who are one-and-done. He took a chance on me, he believed in me, so it’s hard not to follow his steps and be supporting him at Arkansas,” he added.”

He also said good things about Pope.
He's never disrespected UK.
