Thanks for the heads up. I eat mangos, I like them. At least now I won't be gullible. I'll explore with caution. When it's 115 I'm not in the mood for disappointment . . . I'll pass on that horse piss suggestion too come to think about it.This is the most God awful liquid on the planet. I'd rather drink horse piss.
My wife doesn't like it therefore I never have it. But she'll be gone next Thursday! I think I'll have it a couple of times.

I don't think I took pictures of the spam. It's been a couple of years ago.
Yesterday afternoon I was in COSTCO when I saw and elderly man dressed in jeans and boots with a cowboy hat. He was filling his buggy up with Spam and Vienna Sausages. I mean lots of them. Half of his buggy. So I went over to him and asked him if he liked Spam. And he smiled real big and said "yep" it got me through WWII. Turns out he is 90 years old (looks about 70) and has a ranch outside of town. Still riding horses and herding his cattle. We talked for a while and I let him know Spam has always been a staple in my house. So of course, I went home with a dozen cans too. Thank the Good Lord for Spam
I used to like Spam when it was wallowing in globs of fat in the can. They stopped that for obvious health reasons. Now it is just too dry for my taste, I'll have it on rare occasions.
That's where it started for me some 700 moons ago.
My daughter who is thirteen looked at that, cocked her head and said, " "What? Dad, that is spelled wrong.".

It is Friday. Back before I was retired that was a special day so if you are headed off to work I salute you and celebrate with you. TGIF
Well, I am headed back down to Clearwater to pick up my wife's car. It should run like new with all new brakes, tires and front wheel alignment. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't keep this one a long, long time. It has everything a lady needs in a vehicle. The Audi dealer gave me a loaner "car". to take home. Well not exactly a car. The service rep knew I was a pick up truck man and to my surprise the loaner was a F150 Ford pick up with raised wheels and all of the bells and whistles. I could head straight to the swamp with that baby. He smiled and said we aim to please. Good man.

Good morning! Feel pretty good today. I thought I would wake up stiff because of all the overhead work I did yesterday. I think I might be getting into my summer groove where a little bit of work one day doesn't preclude me from doing a little bit of work the next day.
I think there might be some golf in store for me today.
I noticed a box of brownie mix on the stove when I went by. I guess I'll be making those before I do much of anything else. A not so subtle hint.

There was one of these between Dawson Springs and Princeton KY, it was a BBQ joint. If I close my eyes(without falling over) I can still imagine how it smells!!!! Small grocery in the front, then down a few steps was where they served the BBQ!!!When I grew up I didn't live in town. There would be a little grocery store about every quarter mile or so that were the 7-11s in those days. People rode the bus to town on Saturday to do their serious shopping. Downtown was a mob on Saturday (but mostly dead today) with all those people coming out of the hollers to "trade" (that was what they called shopping). Outside those little stores were the neighborhood social gathering places. Every little store had a bench and crates out front where the bullshippers would ply their trade while whittling.

Morning D! Already been a busy morning, dishes washed, clothes folded and hung up and a trip to Kroger and back!!! I guess I will head back into the bedroom we are cleaning out on a search and toss mission!!!! We have been putting this off for a couple years because Mrs. M has most of the stuff in there from when her mom passed away, usually she can only stay in there for a little while but she did good yesterday an actually told me to toss a few things. Ya'll have a great and safe day! We had to go to a FIFTH grade graduation last night and was thinking by the time they graduate from high school it will be their third or fourth "graduation." I only had one, so when they do graduate will it just be another one or will it really be a special day for them. Just thinking.

No RR1 Knott's or (Knoff's) was just east of Barkley Dam on your way to Princeton. The one I am talking about was called Creekmer's and it was in between Princeton and Dawson Springs, it was maybe a half mile from the Tradewater bridge on highway 62.
RR1 just don't earitate it while it's healing!

Yes I would really like to see pics of some of the projects you have done. I like building stuff. When I was in trade school my instructor took me aside and taught me how to build cabinets, of course I didn't get to follow thru on that because I started helping my dad in the carpet business, over 35 years of that!!
WC good luck fishing this weekend and send pics. I won't be going again until my S-I-L gets back off his tug boat in about 4 weeks unless my best fried gets a break from helping with his wife's family.

Lunch break... left over roast beef & swiss cheese sammich....w/horseradish. It'll do.
Red works 12 hrs tomorrow. Playing in a golf scramble while she's working. It's a huge fundraiser for a young man that died of skin cancer. 60 teams!, 30 in the morning and 30 in the afternoon.
Gonna enjoy tonight...no yard work when I get home.
