Home sweet home! Dad and I had a great time today. We hit two piddler malls in Indiana. I found him a UK hooded sweatshirt that he wanted and while I was holding it up to see if it fit, a lady came passing by and said "that should be an Indiana shirt". I was wearing a UK hoodie at the time. I told her immediately that we were buying something to wear in public and that we had enough cleaning rags. The look on her face told me she didn't think it was as funny as my father did.

Got my wife to work on time this morning and they had her car done by noon today. Sleeping in tomorrow. Car cost about a lot more than I thought it would. Oh well, better than a payment.

I think I'll have another "big salad" for dinner tonight.

We need Travis back. Actually, we need Hagans back as well. Times gettin' tight!

Snowed on me a couple of times on the way home this afternoon and one of them was nearly white out conditions. Next minute, nothing. Thanks global warming!

Why did Ace on the river quit posting with us? Did Bert do something?

Seems like ACE hangs around during football and Basketball seasons but does post a couple times in between .
I bet he'll come back around during the up coming tournaments .

Rooster, thanks for what you bring to this board. You are appreciated.

Good morning D-League

Woke up with a nice sunrise and what is going to be a perfect weather day. The Chamber of Commerce is happy, It is currently a very mild 55° with a high projected at 78°. We will have high's in the low 80's over the weekend. The girl on the radio said we will not have any more crazy cold weather for a long, long time. Like next winter.

Hard to think the regular season ends tomorrow. It seems like just yesterday I was attending the final football game. Now basketball is coming to an end. The Gators are a beat down team and we should handle them with ease. The on to the SEC and beyond. Great time of the year, especially if you hang the Big Banner at the end. We are way over due for #9.

I trust all are feeling good today both in body and spirit. Safe travels for MdWildcat55 on his way to Kaintuck and enjoy every second with your son. Time goes by fast and as the Bible says, life is like a vapor.

Thank you Sawnee. I've been a bit nostalgic all week remembering him and his sister as little children. As with all of you, my life has had many seasons, but being a father to young children will always be the time I loved the best. But lots of good days ahead -- for all the D-Leaguers.

Morning D-Leaguers! Just a clod rainy old day here just a lazy ol day! hurry up warm weather! Not much going on today, go CATS. Probably will not get to see the game tomorrow, we volunteer to be ushers at our Felix Martin Hall in the Berg and there is a play being put on by the high school tomorrow (Shrek) starting at two so we have to be there at 1, also told my wife I would take her out to supper after it's over with because she has taken such good care of me during my hip surgery and my bout with this kidney stone!! These young people always do a great job on these plays! This Felix Martin Hall is a gem here in Muhlenberg Co. Some of the shows that have been there is the Willis Family, The Million Dollar Band, this one was great!!! If you ever get a chance go see it!!!! Daily and Vincent has also been there. Our Martin Hall here is a great place to go to for a good night for entertainment! I have never seen any admission over $15. The Million Dollar Band I checked the prices else where's and they ran all the way up over $300 in other places ours was either $10 or 15 can't remember. Allan Thick was there with Toy Story. There have been some more but just can't remember them all. Everyone have a good day and TGIF! Thank GOD I'M FORGIVEN!!!!

Good morning! Reluctantly got out of bed and started a load of laundry.

Bacon egg and cheese omelette for breakfast. Topped with srirachi sauce. Satisfying.

Snow was coming down hard when I first woke up. Next time I looked out to see the accumulation, it was raining.

Supposed to play golf on Sunday. Mixed feelings. Cool and windy is the forecast.

Matt Jones just now, did not know why it is called "lemon meringue" pie. He did not know what meringue is. I have never heard a person with their own show be as clueless about so many topics. Common knowledge is waaaay outside his wheelhouse. Anatomy of a liberal I guess.

And no matter how old you, or they get, they are still your kids. I'm just so thankful that God lets us have grandkids so that we can reuse the good things we did as parents and correct the mistakes.

My grandmother made the best lemon meringue pie I have eaten. Tried many and they just don't quite make it. I have used her recipe, and mine doesn't quite make it. She was the master. It and her chocolate were to die for. The meringue was two inches high and just evaporated when it hit your mouth. I'm hoping that when I hit heavens gate, she is waiting for me, with one of those pies.

I was listening and was floored by his lack of knowledge. I use to turn him off because of his ignorance about day to day matters and subjects but he and his friends are so off the wall it is now a comedy act. So I tune in every once in a while. The funniest was his lack of knowledge of Key Lime Pie. He has no idea what a key lime is. If he had any common sense he would put two and two together and realize it is a citrus fruit naturalized to the Florida Keys. Thus the name key lime. Key as in Florida Keys. Bless his heart, his lack of knowledge makes him very entertaining.

Morning. Just got home. I'm preaching at Harmony Baptist in Gramville this Sunday, 11am.. Fill-in thing. Honored. Been there 4 or 5 times. So prayers appreciated. For me and moreso them (lobing one up for catfansc}.

Ok......Cats. 10 is what I'm thinking too...Sec tourney???? At least 6....in a row. Anyway it's going to be fun. I've been a Cat fan since I have any memory of being 5 or 6 years old. Blue thru and thru. Over 60 years as I'm now 66. Lots and lots of wonderful memories. Reflections. But now, I think that after playing a full schedule they are ready for what's ahead. Go Cats. FCC.

My mom was the best at pies and biscuits. I never liked lemon pie but the chocolate and coconut cream were to die for.

My mom said the secret for great meringue was to use a copper mixing bowl. I did not believe that but after taking a couple courses in college my professor explained why. Use a copper bowl and the meringue will not evaporate. Copper is wonderful and germs can't live on its surface.

Better life through chemistry. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

By the way, I hope my mom, grandmom, dad, sister and grandson are awaiting me.

Thank you sir. Much appreciated. The very first sermon I ever did was in the UMC I grew up in. Small country church. I was about 30. Before church started my Aunt from Bandana asked me if I was nervous. I said no. She said why? I said I expect God to show up. He did. And my my He has ever time. Humbled and honored. It's really hard to describe. So....FCC.

I will pray for the folks in the congregation! :joy:

Made me think of this song....Boscoe is from Madisonville. He plays in Eville almost every Thursday night. Great guitar player.
I graduated high school with a girl named Del France. She also graduated Kentucky Wesleyan College.

She fell last week and broke her pelvis and arm. So while she is getting well I am sending her that link to see if she is kin to Boscoe.
