We were down by 15 to Arkansas so I am not giving up. But we need PJ and Johnson playing at the top of their game the second half

This should stop the talk some had about playing better without Reid. This has showed us that we have no way to get our outside shooters open without an inside threat for inside outside work of the offense. No threat inside has allowed Tennessee to guard heavy on the perimeter. Our constant driving to the basket has not worked for us. We need to become perimeter oriented in the second half to open up the middle.
Hard to win without Herro scoring with PJ on the bench and Travis out and Johnson off. Tough to overcome

PJ is a solid 50% free throw shooter.

Agree. He needs to look at PJ and come back for a soph year, but I would be willing to bet he is gone.
Doing better. I don't think that UT is holding and creating contact as much as they did the first half. When they have, they have gotten called for it. May be too little too late by the officials.

PJ and Travis need to leave this year. NO ONE else. No one is going to pay you money to play basketball if you can't be bothered to move your feet to get a loose ball and not just reach at it. Fans can watch the ball, players have to react to it and move toward it. The basketball is very important. They put it in the name of the game.

I’m more disappointed at the lack of effort than the loss. Tennessee has a good team and I knew it would be tough to get a win in Knoxville. The defense we played was embarrassing.
I have said earlier this year with a lot of blow back on Rafters that we will have at least 2 bigs next year with Nick and EJ. Both should have 2 main focuses in the off season. Hit the weight room heavy and work on their offensive skills just as heavy. We will need that for next year. Baker and Quickley will have to up their game as well. Calipari will have to pull out all of the stops coaching wise while this will be one of his worse teams talent wise.

Got a call from Dad and I'm picking him up from the hospital in the morning. The doctor must have thought he sounded as good as I did. I've already got his chair there so I'll just have to direct him to the van. Last time he was there they wouldn't let me get him. I got that straightened out yesterday and there will be no problem with me getting him from the room and leaving with him tomorrow. Some hospital "rules" aren't really rules at all and I have no problem pointing that out to them.

Well, we got our ass handed to us. Thought they would have a hard time winning, just thought they would put forth a better effort.
Luckily this wont hurt our seeding since one of our key players is out with an injury. ....
