D-League

Good morning D League. Temp currently 75 degrees with a high of 91 today. Looking at the East Coast knowing what they are preparing for and about to experience. Praying no loss of life and minimal damages. We can rebuild homes but not people.

Coffee is extra good. Made just they I like to make it. It is Wednesday and my UK flag is still flying in the heart of Bull Gator. Have a wonderful day and take care. Drive defensively

Hello D-Leaguers. Looks like we'll get a lot of rain here for the next few days though we're well north of any dangerous weather. The entire area is so saturated already well get some flooding. I hope everyone is well out of the storm's path.
Just watching the Weather Channel, they said the excessive rain is going all the way up to Eastern Ky!

I was at the unemployment office in Paducah on 911. The elderly lady took a phone call while I was talking to her and I heard her say, "well we've got our selves a real crisis". She hung up and told me all federal offices were in an emergency shut down and evac. immediately. I left, got home and my wife was a wreck. Soon, I was too. And yes, still very angry about that still. I wanted to do some nukes.

Hang in there railroad.

Good pictures here today. Keep em coming.

Y'all have a good day. FCC.

Well now that I am back in the saddle after my bout with sepsis and a few other issues I am going to do some work on my little pick up. I have had this little fellow since 2000 when I bought him brand new. So instead of trashing it and buying a brand new truck for say $50,000 I decided to play around and see what I could do. I have the oak floor in, the tri color paint (stripped it to bare metal) and a few other little things. Here are a couple of photos of my work in progress. I will start with the flooring. I am having wooden side rails milled and should be good to go with them soon.

That is some very good work.

I watched Lucy alot growing up. Of course in black and white. When I was a kid, late 50's or so, one day my Dad told me we were going to get a color TV. Man, all day I was excited. I was off on my stingray and he beat me home that afternoon. He told me to come see the color Tv. When I got there, it was a see through piece of plastic, and in a quadrant of 4 colors, taped to the Tv. I was so bummed. Told Dad it was alright but I still wanted a REAL COLOR TV. I forget when we got one. We had the first TV of our nearby neighbors. The married couple who ran the gas station across the road used to close and come over and watch stuff like the Ed Sulivan show. He always brought a 6 pack of cokes in the small bottles. I drank most of them. Oh, and for the record I did not recognize Lucy. I could see it after y'all said that.

Y'all know what, I have a Master's of Divinity, a BS in Chemistry, minor in Biology......all that, who gives a crap. Deep down, I'm just a pea brained country boy, grew up playing baseball, hauling hay, cutting tobacco, who belives strongly in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Trying to be a good husband, and stear four teens in the right way. Gotta go, rides here. FCC

We got one of the "color tvs." as well. [banana]

Where'd you get your MDiv?

Left early this morning to play golf. Shot 1 under on the back nine. Would have been better if I hadn't gone 15 over on the front. Night and day.

Came home and hit the yard hard. All mowed and weed ate.

Then off to the shop to build another drawer for the bottom of the table. Went much faster than the first one because I knew what I was doing and because the jig had already been made. Now I have both drawers mounted on the bottom. Next up is the slide out for the burner. I'll have to take a different approach to that one to maximize the width I have available. Think I've got a design that will work. Hope to post some pictures of it here before long.
