I have that album. There is an instrumental on it called "City Country City" that is one of the best instrumentals of all times. Well, my opinion. Really shows their talent.
Oh, morning. FCC.
Hey starchief, I don't currently have access to that library you mentioned. Kinda let that go. Can you post that song by war, "City Country City" for all to hear? My record player and albums are stored downstairs.

Morning D
Well - not so great news. My son is being sent home, for sure. His injury is such that he's being discharged. I hate it for him, as he wanted this so badly. His wife said that he sounded okay on the phone though; disappointed but upbeat. This puts them in a major bind financially, but I'm sure everything will work out. Also found out he's one of four from his platoon being medically discharged.
Tonight my youngest gets to do his first pep band thing. Should be fun - even if it's only a volleyball game, LOL.
Looking forward to the football game Saturday - that's a crazy thing to say, but there you go!
Hope all are well; have a good day
BKO, your son served honorably even though it was not for long. He tried his best and that is all one can ask of someone. As difficult as it is to recruit young men and women, they do not dispense medical discharges lightly. Especially to someone who doesn't want to be discharged.
Wear a hat condom just to be safe.Mornin' D. I'm so confused by the weather news here that I'm prepared this weekend to either row out my upstairs window in a rescue boat after torrential rains or use the last of my summer sun screen to keep from getting sunburned on a hike. I heard someone describe the increasingly urgent Florence newscasts as "Weather Porn." That's about right. Now I've just tuned it all out.
Sorry to hear this BKO, do you know if he is getting any disability claim or did they determine it was an EPTS problem.Hey starchief, I don't currently have access to that library you mentioned. Kinda let that go. Can you post that song by war, "City Country City" for all to hear? My record player and albums are stored downstairs.

BKO, your son served honorably even though it was not for long. He and your family can still be proud. He tried his best and that is all one can ask of someone. As difficult as it is to recruit young men and women, they do not dispense medical discharges lightly. Especially to someone who doesn't want to be discharged.
I'm really sorry to hear this BKO. I know from your posts this was important to him. As a father who has helped kids through setbacks I'm not going to say anything trite like "maybe it was all for the best." But it does appear that he is fortunate enough to have a great support system with his family to keep him focused on finding the next path. With that, the odds are great that he'll do fine in some new pursuit.Morning D

Sorry to hear about your son Bko...keep the faith.
Beginning stages of Florence...
I would never do that. I would ask for your DL and credit card. This is really bad. I've got to get a life away from the D.
TS I dreamed last night I stopped by Don's office. He was sitting behind a counter in a busy office. I walked up and introduced myself as Starchief. He shook my hand and said, "I'll be with you in a minute." and went on dealing with clients. I waited around for about a half hour and just left. I saw some lady walk up to him and I thought, "That must be QB". The End.
Sorry to get this news, Bev. Hoping for the best for you guys.his wife got a letter from him today
He said that he was told he seems to have nerve damage in the shoulder? He also said the last couple of weeks have been "hell." The people he was with were great and supportive though.
I appreciate your comments; I keep telling myself maybe it was for the best LOL. But yes, we are behind this young man in every way.
I would never do that. I would ask for your DL and credit card.
whereabouts in Oldham?I'm in for the night. Got both the floors cut and installed in the table where the eggs will sit. Looks a lot more like it's intended purpose now.
Got a call today for golf tomorrow. Supposed to meet at the church up the street at 0700. Is the Sun up yet? Monday morning I'm playing at Oldham County but that tee time is a more reasonable 1027.
Oldham County Country Club.whereabouts in Oldham?
The Atlantic Coastal Plains . . . now you know the rest of the story.

LOL, I was pretty lucky i guess, never broke a knuckle or a drawbar in my whole career. And knuckles are HEAVY72°F and strips of clouds. I mowed Monday and Wednesday to try to get back to even. I may even mow today to keep the grass from piling up.
BKO sad to here about your son. That is tough luck.
Ace on the River; thanks for the information. My only experience in the transportation department was back in the early 1980's. Management thought we could run some trains during the next union strike. I had the pleasure of taking a train from Atlanta, GA over the hump to a town in South Carolina. I was not good at driving a train. I broke the darn thing 5 times. I did become expert at replacing knuckles.
I will never forget what the bastards look like!
