Hooray to all D-Leaguers for last nights' excitement. Couldn't be on the board but I knew it'd be rocking. I hear Lexington was too. I hope my freshman son who has a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time wasn't one of the arrested ones. I'd have probably heard by now...

  • Good Morning, D-League and Wildcat Fans
  • 78º as I type this and the high will be 87. The sun is shining and I mean it is shining.
  • 4th cup of coffee time after and all nighter last night. Who could go to sleep? If you live in Florida you sure couldn't.
  • To say yesterday was a good day would be an understatement to end all understatements.
  • It was a once in 3 decades day. We beat Florida. Not only did we beat them we beat them in the Swamp on a night the Gators were honoring Steve Spurrier and his championship team.
  • How does it get better than that?
  • But I had a sign from above it was going to be a good night. At 6:30 PM my house was struck by lightning. BAM!!!! A neighbor on the other side of the lake sent a text saying it even showed up on their WeatherBug. She said is all OK? I went out and checked, all was fine and I am thankful this house has the lightning protection it has. You can't live down here without it. So I just dusted off a huge lightning strike and returned to the pregame. We were destined to win after that.
  • I am thankful my grandkids were able to enjoy this one.
  • The Swamp Is Drained. Go CATS

Morning D
Was that not awesome last night? 32 years - it was beautiful.
Unfortunately, woke up with that crud the hubby and son have had - feels like a hangover without the fun of drinking.
We may or may not hear from our SIT today - pretty torn on this. If he doesn't call, then it might mean he's back with his platoon and on "radio silence." Or ,if he doesn't call, he simply didn't get the privileges today. Or, if he DOES call, it could be just to update info: what exactly happened and what they're doing for him, and if maybe he'll recycle if necessary. Or, the worst case, he calls and says he is definitely coming home.

and btw, @ymmot31 I was NOT a mess :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
but thank you @wildcatdonf :)

I just knew both of those flags would be on UK...but wow I was glad to be wrong

Wow!!!!!!!!!

Had to drop in and chime in on this one. We just may have turned a corner in the football world as we know it. But I have to admit that this win makes me very happy for a very selfish reason. I spend Dec through March in the Florida Panhandle and plan to talk football a lot this visit.

Fellows thanks for coming to the D-League. You are welcomed any time.

Finally, the Wildcats have a defense. They played great last night.

Not to mention, we've had key injuries on defense and they still performed at that level. I had my doubts about Stoops but I think he's done a terrific job and will continue to elevate our program.

I was up until 0230 and was thisclose to driving to Lexington to be with the people who greeted the team at the airport. I thought that would be a good memory for me. Decided against it though because I was worn out from excitement, nervousness, and sickness. Slept for 8 straight hours and didn't wake up once. Contented.

Glad I'm not superstitious. I wouldn't mind wearing the same UK shirt I had on during the game last night the next time we play Florida, but I had no adult beverages and for snacks I had cream cheese on celery stalks. That aggression will not stand.

Good morning D! And I do mean GOOD MORNING! I have a confession to make, I lied to Y'all. I couldn't help myself, after saying I wouldn't go to, or watch the game, I watched it! And glad I did! Man o Man, What a glorious night to live in Florida! I still have not taken off my " UK Football " shirt. Wore it to breakfast this morning just to stir the sh*t at the place we go to...lmao
