75° F here and sunny. It got up to 93° +F yesterday. I stayed in side.

He will make it, he was raised by you. You will hear from him soon, Army makes sure of that and when you do, tell him to be Mr. generic, do no more or no less than his Drill Sergeants tell him too and basic will be easier.

And, BKO, I will add one more thing: tell him not to want to use the machine gun. My son was eager and he got to carry the damned thing and never got to shoot it.

Good morning. Haven't been awake for long and know very little of the day. Looked out the bathroom window and saw it was raining with an attitude.

Dad is having a heart catheterization today at 1300. I'm heading down there soon to hang out with him. He's got a small problem area that they thought they could treat with medicine but he's still getting a sporadic pain. Hopefully they can go in there and fix it without too much risk or side effects.

I'm kind of flattered that Labor Day is being celebrated the same weekend as the kickoff for UK football. People are finally starting to notice us.

Good morning everyone from partly sunny SWFL. Rain supposed to arrive a little early today, around noon. I never said this when I lived in Ky, but I really look forward to winter getting here...LMAO. No rain, 75-80 everyday, just lovely. Got a couple big T-bones to throw on the grill tonight, weather permitting. Everyone have a GREAT day!

  • Happy Hump Day, D-Leagueanites!!!
  • 82º already in Johns Creek. Nice comfortable breeze going. Blue sky. A few clouds.
  • Goldfish fed. Happy. There's a couple of Bluegill in there. A couple of small Koi too, Caught a LM in the Chattahoochee one time. I put him in there. He would eat the Hell out of the the Goldfish. Earnest T. was his name.
  • 3 days until kickoff. Excited.
  • Have a safe day.
  • As you were. Carry on.
  • Don't forget to say a little prayer for Sawnee Cat.

Hey y'all. Getting close to having 3 teenagers again in the house. Little bit will be 12 on Saturday. Lots of activity. Sometimes drama. All of our kids are heaven bound. I remind them of that and quietly, yet clearly, guide them through things they are experiencing in school and life in general. Different day and time than when I grew up. FCC.

Good afternoon D- League

Thank you wildcatdon and thanks to all who wished me well and said a little prayer.

Just got back from my pre op physical. I will report in the A.M. for surgery. I will be glad to get this behind me and move on with things.

Meanwhile, 3 days until kick off and the start of our college football season. It will be welcomed while I get back to normal. God is good

D-League folks are the best. I know firsthand.

Ymmot, may the best come to your father.

My wife's aunt is dying. So, we are going through some tough stuff. She will be 95 in October; however, they are removing the feeding tubes today. So, she will probably never see 95.

Her youngest brother (who was my father in law who survived the Kamikaze’s off Okinawa) died in 2006. Her next to the youngest brother was in the first B-29 over Tokyo. She was drop dead gorgeous girl who never married.

Life for her has been good.

Dad's procedure went well. They had to put another stent in his heart. One of the arteries was 90% blocked. He should be feeling better now. They're saying he should be going home tomorrow morning but they may keep him for awhile longer to do dialysis if they don't get it done tonight.

@UK82 I got the Marantz sl 68 today which is good news. Bad news is it doesn't work. I hooked up the speakers to 1 and neither of them worked. I then tried the headphones and both channels played fine. I then hooked the speakers up to 2 and only the left speaker would play. Bummer.

So sorry Bert. Prayers.

Glad your Dad's procedure went well!

Bummer about the receiver. Can you send it back for a full refund? If you get stuck with postage then as you probably already know it could be expensive. One option is to use the broken receiver as an external phono preamp. There's a good chance that this section still works. Just plug your turntable into the broken receiver 's phono in and then run a cable between the Marantz tape out and your other receiver. Any input will work (tape in, aux, cd, etc.). Maybe you can bargain with the seller if they know it's broken.

Happy Thursday/Friday, taking tomorrow off to make it a 4 day for me this weekend. Haven't been fishing since this past weekend so, the fever is raging.

Prayers sent up for those going through hard times and surgeries at this time. May God keep you safe and healthy.

Got a little headache this morning, rarely ever get one but, when I do coffee seems to help so, down the hatch.

Not much on sentiment but, you guys and this place sure beats the hell out of the others. Need it sometimes, thank you.

Good morning from ATX. Currently 78°F. Heading to 100°F later today. If so, then we will have had over 51 triple-digit days this summer. Gonna end soon, thankfully.

Yes, my next vacation is planned for 17-27 November. Plan on flying in and out of Atlanta and renting a car there.

At any rate, I've got nothing else. Y'all behave.

  • Good Morning, D-Leagueanites and Lurkers.
  • 68º in Johns Creek at 0500. It's the earliest that I have been up in quite some time.
  • Thinking about Ymmot's Daddy and Sawnee Cat. Prayers for both guys. God, please be with them and heal and nurse them.
  • 2 more days and we'll have a Wildcat kickoff. Excitement builds.
  • Those prosecutors need to be fired immediately for malfeasance. Very sad situation.
  • Lola is all confused.
  • QB is now awake and up. Early appointment to have our Medicare doctor look at her shin. It looks awful.
  • 2nd mug of Dark Magic in progress. Very good.
  • Rainy this morning.
  • Be careful driving out there this morning. The idmos cannot drive safely. Alway expect something terrible from that bunch.
  • Have a nice Thursday.
  • Carry on.

Good morning everyone! For some inexplicable reason I woke up at 4 o’clock this morning and have been awake since. I used to hear my mom complaining about not being able to sleep, and I would think “ How can you not be able to sleep?”
Now that I’m getting old I understand. College football tonight on ESPN. Have a great day everyone!
