D-League

  • Good Morning, D-League
  • This is the last Sunday before football is kicked off. :football::football::football:
  • Low 70's and high in 80's. Chance of rain and plenty of sunshine.
  • Last night we had a good old fashioned Southern rainstorm with lightning across the sky all night long. We are now 3" over our normal rain fall.
  • Working on my 4th cup of coffee
  • Tomorrow I see the doc and we will come up with a game plan.
  • Make it a good day and thank the Lord we saw the sun come up this morning.

[laughing]

I was pissed because they ran outta beer.

So that means you only had 1, or 2? I know that if you had 3 you wouldn't have cared if they ran out because you had a 3 beer limit. Right?

Still recovering from yesterday. I'll check back in later.

Y'all behave.

Did you eat some bad food? I know that 1, or maybe 2, beers didn't make you feel bad.

Still losing but it has slowed way down. My theory is that now I'm working on 20 year old fat that's been there since the 90's. It's like union fat. Got lots of seniority. Hard to get rid of.

You also have different types of fat. There's White, Brown and Melado (biege). You can remove the white cells short term but the body replaces them ASAP. Your initial weight loss was due to white fat cell shrinkage. Burning the lipid triglycerides, expelling the waste as CO2 and H2O. That's why light to moderate activity has such positive effects. Those white fat cells are there to store the lipids. As lipids are burned, the cells also release hormones inciting an hunger response. These cells were mostly created as a teen and replaced at a rate of about 10% a year. With disipline. Eventually you adjust to the new normal and your body not replace so many unnecessary "Union Bosses". Brown fat cells contains iron, burns calories to create heat without shivering. Cooler temps 60° to 65° will help the body convert the whiteys to browny if convinced it's in your interest. Tweeners are the melados,

Drank 5 beers and one cider. In previous years, we had a keg of Kentucky Kolsch. Needless to say, we were well-supplied.

Food was good. Breakfast burritos. I ate two and brought one home for the wife.

I'm not going to read those links because I don't want to taint my knowledge of the process with facts and stuff.

Unless, of course, you are a Mormon.

  • Good Afternoon, D-Leagueanites and Lurkers.
  • 63º this morning in Johns Creek. Very nice morning had.
  • Coffee was good. No company.
  • 2 eggs over medium on half of a biscuit, gravy on the other half. Plenty of food for an old fellow sitting on hia butt all morning. I love doing nothing.
  • RIP John McCain. He went to Hell and back.
  • Rotator Cuff was very painful all night long. Trying to avoid using my right arm. I also have a metal elbow in that arm.
  • 60s music going.
  • Idmos had 400 North traffic-jammed last night. Made me late. All the time.
  • Have a nice Sunday off.

God bless and be with the man that travels Georgia 400. There is something about that stretch of road that turns one into an idmo. Survive Don, survive

The fat guy that I know is fat because he over eats. And he eats all day long non-stop. He weighs about 400. Very unhappy unless he is eating.
Don, my son tells me about a guy he works with. Said he must be over 400. My son said he walked out to his car with him, and the guy had Mcdonals/ Wendy's wrappers about 2 ft deep in the floorboard and the seats. Mercy

A little action over Tampa Bay. I live about 80 miles North and we had a fireworks display similar. And the bridge is the Sunshine Skyway and it is a BIG bridge but looks tiny when Mother Nature wakes up.

We had some hellacious lightning down here last night as well. Lost our electric for about 2 hours

Went down to visit with Dad for a couple of hours and then came home and mowed the grass. Went out to the shop to do some sanding. Did quite a lot but there's still plenty to do.

Tee time in the morning at 1021. That's a reasonable time for golf. However, getting out early when the Sun has just came up is pretty nice as well. Also playing in the afternoon when the Sun is going down is an excellent time to play.

Golf is like pie and as we all know, anytime is a good time for pie.

Afternoon D. Taking it easy today after spending too much time in the bars of Fell's Point, a Baltimore neighborhood, yesterday.

My son in Lexington bumped into Keldon Johnson yesterday and says he's every bit of 6'6". I think my son's freshman year will be a memorable one, at least as a basketball fan.

Heart attacks and heart burn go together; if you throw in the sweat just call 911.
Sweat! . . . It's 100 degrees. I sweat everyday . . . if not call 911 . . . My heart burn seems to be a gastric response to tomato sauces and spicy fat. Pasta, Pizza, Lasagna, Tacos, Enchiladas, Nachos and the like. Ketchup can make me ill as well. I still eat the tomato preparations. I luv maters. On odd occasion of heart burn, treatment with a simple antacid does the trick. All metabolisms are different. Everyone needs to understand theirs and balance their lifestyle with personal physiology. As you age and it changes, one must adapt. You've got a point though. I do not want to take an antacid for a heart attack.

Dad was a very good tomato grower. Once I ate four big tomatos with salt. I broke out with the most hideous hives you ever saw. Itching too. I never did that again.

I returned home alive. Not as bad as 2015 when I got messed up and fell 20 feet down that hill in the rain. Still annoying, though. Damn millennials. No concept of party + good beer. Met up with @Lewinsky3 . He's a good dude.

More beer.

Yea bro I really like it here at corpus Kristis. Really nice city and I love the beach. Think I'm gonna make this my home.

I really like the city of Austin but its really hectic.
