Poor boy, just trying to get home from a hard day at school and this thing starts yelling at him. We have these all over the place and during mating season they make a sound that would curl your blood.

We have had that dang thing in our backyard several times. He ate goldfish and pecked our Koi.

Hello all! In for the night.

Got my car back today. Runs good and the air is cold again. To make me feel better the guy told me it was done on Friday but he forgot to call me. Doesn't matter I guess, I didn't really need it.

Sure was a pleasant day around these parts. Not too hot and a nice breeze all day.

I'm gonna try and get tickets for Dad and I to go a football game early this season.

Lady at the fair yesterday approached us and asked if we had ever been on the Honor Flight. We said no and what was it. She said he and I could fly to DC to see the memorial and then fly back to Louisville where we would receive a large welcome home. All Free! We said sure we'd like to do that as one of our adventures. I checked it out this morning and I get to go free alright, after I make a $500 donation to the cause.

Got up and had a shower, made me something to eat, caught up here and now I'm heading out for the day. Breakfast was a big sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit, but without the biscuit. Weighed 192.5 this morning which is a pint more than yesterday. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Small victories -- Today was the first day of classes for my freshman son at UK, and he actually sent me a text saying he attended his 8am class and enjoyed it. For some, that wouldn't be a big deal, but it's a positive sign for my night owl lad...

I took a lot of biology, chemistry and physics classes and all the labs were usually at 7 am. And if they doubled up the second one was at 9 am.

Really disappointing year for hummingbirds. In fact the worst since the "ice storm" year of 2009. Something must have messed with their migration habits. Not that I'm an expert but it sounds about right.

The current President of the United States, Donald Trump, is planning a visit to the Tri-State next week. This is according to a report by the Courier and Press.
While details aren't readily available at this time, rumors are that there will be a public rally and Trump will be here (Evansville) showing support and fundraising for Senate Nominee, Mike Braun. The rally is expected to take place either next Thursday, August 30th or Friday, August 31st.

Have you ever had a sick feeling in your stomach and regretted doing something the minute you did it. Unfortunately for me I have had this feeling several times in my life after selling one of my prized automobiles. I fall in love to easy with the old classics. My latest example, my little 1950 Ford. She was a frame off restoration and built back to stock including the interior. It looked the same as it looked when bought new. Same Flat Head V8 engine totally rebuilt. The little Ford would get up and go. Regrets
