- I'm working by myself until about 5:30. I was busy up front and a guy walked in while my back was to the front door. He looked homeless, but you never can tell. A customer? "Hello there, do you want to get someone out of jail?" No, I'm just passing through and I am a diabetic and need a drink of coke, or something with sugar in it. "Chief, I don't have any soft-drinks in here." Well, I don't need any money. "Cool, there is a store 2 doors down that sells soft-drinks." He just stood there. "Okay, you need to go. Take care." All day long.
105°F currently in North Austin. Thank goodness for air conditioning.

I didn't really do anything. My wife knew how miserable I was at the last one and took pity on me. I owe her big time.

I haven't had to go to my wife's hometown for about 5 years now. It's NC and they're all a bunch of NC and Duke fans. We don't get along too well because one of us will be damned if he's going to sit back and listen to them put down Kentucky.

Took the orbital palm sander to my table today. Used 120 grit for the first pass and I am amazed at how good this wood looks. I intended to just do an end piece to see how it would look and ended up doing everything but the back. I thought I was going to leave the back in it's raw state but now I've decided to treat it just like the front. This table is going to be my masterpiece. I can see it coming together.
I have less concerns as time passes. I was worried about an infectious airborne vectorized bio-hazard pathogen from campus of the unclean. I'm better now. Mustta been them pills I took.
If the pills you took made you worry about anything, then you took the wrong pills. They've got a pill for that.

- 72º in Johns Creek. Overcast and rainy lookin' this morning. We had a little last night. I slept pretty solid. Had to get up 4 or 5 times.
- Football in two weeks. CFB is the best. I really enjoy it.
- I am enjoying Warrior's fishing excursions. LM fishing is the best fun. Wish I could fry some of those big boys up. Can you imagine?
- There is no telling what Skunk-Weasel promised Karen Sypher. And then she gets sent up the river.
- I wish the grands were here right now.
- I need to go and inspect #2's condo. There are problems with his deck and steps. I need to see it and see if I can fix it so it is safe. The Latinos painted it throughout last week, so it is like new on the inside.
- Listening to 60s this morning. Traveling back in time.

Thanks to all for the anniversary wishes. We had our normal day with a very nice dinner to finish out the day. A couple sat down at the adjoining table and we struck up a conversation. They are engaged to be married. She had just ended a 26-year relationship and he a 30. Great people.
Our waitress was late in getting our bill and we had to hail her down. She said our neighbors had taken care of our bill and to have a happy anniversary.
That has never happened to me before. Those folks picked up a big bill for us.

Don, I had a kidney and blood infection. The infection has cleared up but left me weak. Nothing life threatening or permanent damage. I just need to take it easy things should be Okay.

Liked what I heard after our scrimmage yesterday. I believe that Wilson is going to be our QB this year and that he will bring a new level of excitement. Look for Snell to be in Heisman talks this year, man is on a mission.
