We had a real gully washing monsoon rain here last evening. The wind was blowing the rain so hard that the rain was was falling horizontally. I've got one broken tree limb to deal with. These occasional monsoons are what keeps the desert alive.
I have a friend who lives near Palm Springs, CA. It does not rain much at all. Their weather site is below. Note the rain year to date:

Working like a Malamute during sled dog race season these last few. Finally got a break this morning and microwaved some White Castle bought from the commissary the other day. Really like those things. It is my first stop when driving back to visit family. Always the same restaurant. The one off of 65 going into Elizabethtown. Brother lives in Rineyville so, stop there first.

For those that have cut cable, what is your bill per month now? What does it include?

DishTV was running me about $155 avg...included 1 DVR receiver and 3 other HD receivers - Americas top 200 package included SEC, local, regional sports.

Currently watching on Firestick:
  • DirectTV Now has same stations (for the most part) minus local stations (I bought a $15 antenna for those) for $55 - Just Right package.
  • I also have Netflix $9 month
  • Our sons Amazon Prime (his acct, he pays)
  • Daughters Hulu (her acct. she pays)
  • HBONow $16 month
Getting rid of Dish saved me $100....doesn't really SAVE....just allows me to spend elsewhere.

Still in the trial phase...see how it goes.

Not the same from the microwave but, it will do in a pinch.
More often than not I stop at the same WC Lounge when leaving, buy 3 dozen, remove from boxes, wrap in small glad sandwich bags, place 9 (fit perfect) into gallon ziplocks and put the 36 sliders (4 bags) into my carry on for the non-stop to Phoenix. Still fresh and warm on arrival in Arizona. Party is on with grand babies! :burger:

"He was just basically motivating me."
I pretty much hate a liar.
To me that's an insult to everyone's intelligence. I also find it strange that they come out blasting UK the day after he decommits. It comes off as suspicious and premeditated with the intent of trying to sabotage UK on the recruiting trail. Btw, I guess Mr. Jeffries thinks going to the media to whine about something that may or may not have happened is being professional.

I am so glad this kid decommitted. He needs to be at Memphis.

Smoke screen.

When I cut my cable and $190.00 per month bill, I got three Roku sticks and plugged them in. There is no monthly fees with that. I purchased an antenna but since I live 60 miles from the nearest TV tower that didn't work.

I have Amazon Prime so I get there movies. I would have Amazon Prime without the movie service. So no real cost with that. My wife loves music and it came with Pandora and a few other music channels all free so the wife was happy.

About three months after I cut the cable I received a call from Spectrum offering me a deal. I told them I was not interested. Then I got a flyer in the mail telling me I could have 10 channels they pick and I could pick 10 more for a cost of $21.00 a month. That included local stations, cable news, cable sports (including SEC Network) and a few odds and end stations that appeal to the women folks. I also get a lot of movie channels that stream free.

So I pay $21.00 a month plus tax of $2.49 or about $25.00.
I checked that out with our local Spectrum but the SEC Network is not an option. Deal breaker for me.

Exactly. UK already has 2 lined up(Allen & Whitney) that want to be @UK bad.

Heard that on the Leach Report this morning. National recruiting guru Biancatti said both could be better and that both would be ranked higher than now when the new rankings come out.

Afternoon D
Waiting at dr office for my son to get his Hep A shot
I have a second interview at 2:30. I believe I have the job. Excited and nervous
Y’all be good

I think your second interview will go well and they will probably offer you a working interview in the very near future.

Second interview went well
I’m already scheduled for a working interview tomorrow morning

Wow! That's pretty near future! Good luck!!!

195lbs this morning.:boxing: Noticed today that my feet felt better without that extra 17lbs on them. Just 10 more to go and then I'll go into a maintenance mode.

Great time with Dad today. He was upbeat all day and didn't get melancholy at either grave site. We took roads out in the country that neither of us had been on before and still had time to hit up a piddler mall. Thursday we're going to the hot rod show at the fairgrounds. That will be a lot of walking. In just a few weeks we'll be going back there to the state fair. I told him that this time we're going to split whatever we get to eat so we don't get full too soon like we did last year. Might be a cheat day on my diet.
