You be careful with that thing.

Ha, i just came in. Spent 8.5 hours in the shop. Straight. Table wing was a booger to get level. I got to kinda level, but it became a quest. I eventually won. What i didn't do today was trim hedges, bushes, or trees.

Got a real good start on the fence. It's completed up to the point that i need to get some hardware. Next time i go out there it will be completed. I was going to epoxy it together but i decided to leave it where i could take it apart if i ever had the need.

I just about hate driving anymore Don, thanks to people like that. I love the ones that drive in the passing lane but are going slower than the ones in the right lane.

That would be me taking exit 9w.

Back from the Karate tournament, did not go to the grill out, it is about 110° out there right now. Just sitting back in the cool 75° in the house. Ate dinner and am just settling in for the couple of drinks that will follow before watching whatever the the wife and daughter want to watch tonight. If it is a foo foo film, I will take a nap until it is over and watch something scary afterwards.

Don be careful out there, the road is full of the me generation who think everything is only for them including the road.

86°
108°F Our monsoon high is shifting westward and be centered directly over the state. This will limit thunderstorm development with clear skies and light winds. I can see the drying this morning. Mountain visibility approaching 80 - 90 mi. Excessive heat forecast at least thru hump but the Tuesday afternoon peak also has been lowered to only 115°F.

Good morning D

Good morning from ATX. We're at 79°F. Anticipating 104°F or higher today. We may catch a break come Tuesday. I hope so. Actually, unlike Florida, local air temps are fairly bearable in the shade.

Mowed front yard yesterday. Rode bicycle to credit union and cashed in some change from the other stash not found on streets, car washes or near bars. Hit up Chick-Fil-A and grabbed take-out for wife and I.

Working more stuff later today.

I've got nothing else. Y'all behave.

Florida has the worst climate of all the places that I have lived (Maryland, Kentucky, Indiana, Texas, North Carolina and Florida).

Good morning. Woke up to coffee brewing. Good start.

Gotta make an early morning run to the hardware store. Looks like it will be Lowes.

I'm going to finish my rip fence today and I'm thinking i should go ahead and build a speaker too before i get started on the table. I have all the makings for a center channel speaker to go along with the other two I built. It should only take an hour or so to cut it out and glue it together.

@UK82 I replaced my old Pioneer VSX3300 with a Kenwood KR V5550. Wow, what a difference. The kenwood is rated at 100w/channel and the pioneer was 80. If I turn this one up a quarter of the way it's blasting. Also, this one has A/B switches that allow you to play two sets of speakers. One, or the other, or both at the same time and all get the full 100. $25 well spent.

I'll see you fine folks this afternoon, have a good day.

I hear ya.

Last October when mom got sick, I visited central Florida. Around 10:30 pm on the final night of the trip, I stood on the porch outside my brother's house in Orlando and sweat and sweat and sweat. Crazy. Humidity was not so bad while visiting last month, but still sticky and just generally miserable. Mosquitoes were out in force.

November-March is bearable down there. Once April arrives, game over until November.

  • Good Morning, D-Leagueanites.
  • 81º in Johns Creek. Toonder Storms last night. The Hooch is very stained. You might say muddy.
  • 2 biscuits. 2 OM eggs. Cream sausage gravy. 3 mugs of DM. I overate, but it sure was tasty. QB does a superb job on the eggs. Just right.
  • If you have wondered about a little harness and a short leash that fits the seatbelt. QB picked it up and it worked fine. I recommend. Ymmot, I think it would work for your pet raccoon. Don't get bitten.
  • Bev, I hope your Mom is recovering.
  • I feel a nap coming.
  • Be safe out there.
  • Carry on with vigor.

Florida is nice Nov-mid May on the gulf coast. Visit down there a lot during that time frame.
I lived in Hidden Hills Country Club in Jacksonville, FL and played golf year round. I kept the first tee time in the summer because it was torture to play later. Even playing early resulted in being hotter than hell by the 18th hole.

July, August and September can be brutal down there. Get everything ya need done in the am and then hide out in the ac in the pm.

Nice! The A/B switch is important for me because I daisy chain receivers for my whole house system. A good receiver for that price is a steal!
