D-League

Got started early this morning to go get Dad. He wasn't even out of bed yet. I had planned on a trip down Dixie Highway to look at some trucks and go to the piddler mall. When he got in the van he asked if we could go to Dixie Hwy. I laughed and said yes, if that's what he wanted to do.

We did some stuff and then headed out toward Ft. Knox. Picked up some lunch at a diner in Muldraugh and took it to the Veterans Park in West Point. Was a beautiful day to eat outside and the view up and down the river there is awesome. He was feeling good today and we laughed and joked all day. This was a real good day!

Austin just being Austin. Maybe frustrated? I like folks like Austin who are intelligent free spirited independent thinkers. He enlightens me in many ways. I happily anticipate his return.

Now, I'm clueless about 41102. Seems to be a fine fellow. He's all wound up with Cat mania. And that tickles me pink and fires me up. Like I really need a spark. Now I have to work harder to keep up with our teams. No sweat, but just as I was getting used to him, he disappears. I suspect they're both lurking and likely to return. Of course, they'll be welcomed back like the brothers they are.

Thanks. Currently chowing down on Johnsonville Brats.

I call 'em as I see 'em. Not politically correct. Political correctness wears on my soul. Hence a major reason I retired in pay grade E-7 rather than E-8 after 20 years. Hence another reason I'll probably retire from this present position as a System Analyst III rather than a IV or V. Sorry, but if such behavior offends, but, that's just me.

Tomorrow is MY day. I've things and stuff that I want to do. If it isn't too windy I may make some charcoal. I need to clean off my workbench, replace some bolts on my table saw, clean the sawdust out of the table saw. I haven't cut a hole for the vacuum yet and there is quite a bit of dust in there. Might even drink a couple of low carb beers as well.

I just want to say thanks to everyone for the kind words, as they really meant a lot to me. I usually don't make the best of decisions, but choosing the D-League was definitely a good decision, as I couldn't ask for a better bunch of people. In closing, I just want to say I'm not here to upset anyone, and I'm sorry if I did.

I was't worried just wanted you to know. Summer doldrums . . . Ain't no cure. I really don't worry about much. Lots of time I don't even understand the fuss. What makes me crazy . . . the stupidity of a mindless acceptance of corruption and its complicit implications.

  • Just got back home from the radioactive nucular stress tests. They were so very nice to me. Emory has it going on. Fridays may be the day to get something like I had done. Their coffee was not nearly as good as this DM, but drinking some caffeine was part of the test. I have the real good tasting stuff freshly brewed right here with me now. I recommend it.
  • Austin and Ashland, you guys are such good guys.
  • That is all. Gotta go work some.
  • Carry on.

Been another rough work day, now on to purge the memory of it. Have not read much these last few days, work has kept me busy. Helping judge a Karate tournament tomorrow then on to a grill out at an old Drill Sergeant buddies house (maybe). It has been the last couple of days and is today over 110° and I may not want to grill out. He does however have a Pergola stringed with those misting lines so, it may not be so bad there. Decision will be made at time to leave the house. May just stay home and drink me some Belgian and German brews.

brother and his family coming in early tomorrow to stay the weekend, other brothers and sister also coming over tomorrow so Im a cookin.
tater salad and cole slaw are ready and in the fridge. Mac n cheese will be on deck in the morning, lemon pies ready to go and in the fridge.
pork shoulder going on smoker about midnight tonight, roll of bologna will hit the smoker about noon tomorrow, Im sure other foods will be available, just not sure who is bringing what
beer iced down. hope the hit and miss rain is more miss
golf ball size hail in the area today not far from me, garaged the vehicles and stood by...nuttin here
no duck boat rides for me ...EVER..very very sad story
