D-League

Ymmot, I have a 28-pound piece of stainless steel on my porch awaiting you. It is deceivingly heavy.

You all have a really good day.

Thank you so much Bert! The day after I pick that up I'm going to start on the table. No doubt that the steel will be the highlight.

Man, you are buying the booz Sunday! Right @ymmot31?

If I think about it, I might pick up a bottle for ya. Nothing too special, just some Kentucky bourbon.

Good Morning D - Buzz Buzz Buzz

76°-102° today and cutting the grass when I get home. Heavy day at work yesterday so, too tired mentally to cut it. Must muster the energy today because I have too much to do Friday through the weekend. Retirement take me away!

Morning D. Two more days and I'm Lexington-bound for my son's orientation. Also thinking about a side trip to Bardstown. My NYC-DC raised wife loves places that have a bit of the old south feel to them, and Bardstown did the last time I was there, which is probably 20 years ago. If all else fails, she's into Maker's 46, so we'll have a default plan: ditch our son on the campus with a few bucks and his adult cousin's address, and get a room and a bottle.

More rain and storms yesterday. We went from very dry to very wet really quickly. Have 7 yards to mow but IDK if it will be today or tomorrow.

Listening to KSR. Kyle Tucker filling in today and he's very good on radio. He hosted a few months ago and did well then too.

Enjoy the day and be safe.

Good Morning D-League it's 80* and raining again in Paducah, very mean looking dark huge cloud moving this way from Illinois.

Hey Bert or anyone else receive their new social security card. Got mine from the USRR board Monday. That's all I got.
I got mine the same day.

I am sure glad it is in English and Spanish. I put a call in to my congressman.

Talbott Tavern is a must see in Bardstown. Opened in 1779. They had a fire several years ago and I don't know the extent of the damage. Many famous people visited there throughout the years.

I knew the day would come when I would start bitchin about the heat, and I as well pissed and moaned about the cold..bottom line....I'll take wearin shorts weather any day over long pant wearin cold weather...Got my utility bill today...3 hundo for the month which is not all that bad since I keep my air set on 74 in the house, ran the ac in my shop a lot of time, and pool pump runs 24/7. Told my wife she has to look at it as "the price you pay to be comfortable"

hope to mow tomorrow evening
third colonoscopy in as many month's next week...last one was inconclusive since they did not give me enough time to do "my part"..Still looking into GI bleeding which they say may be diverticulosis...NO I am Not starting to like em..blood platelets still over six points low...taking iron pills twice a day to help build them up...normal is 15...mine been running little over a nine. Dr says it takes about four weeks to raise it a point if everything is in good shape..fully answered why I been so tired and irritable..crazy how that stuff works
many many green maters baseball size in the garden..picked cucumbers today ...got em out late
bout all I gots…..carry on

Well. Ordered my glasses. Doing the trifocals with the anti glare and transitions lenses. Pretty nice; and, of course, purple frames. Found out I have astigmatism and the beginnings of a cataract in my left eye.
Got my tires on the car; needed an alignment done as well. But it made all the difference. My car had a pretty smooth ride as it was...now it feels like floating on air.
Have a new laptop being delivered tomorrow. Be glad to be able to actually type on a full keyboard instead of on this phone.
Hope you boys are behaving yourselves

I don't know if anyone else had a problem with Tuesday's storm but we lost our power for 7 hours. No big deal and it was actually kind of peaceful without the electricity. Now the ice storm several years ago was another matter. 7 days without power and the house temp got down below 40 degrees. Not pleasant but doable.

Best get to the bottom of that. My wife has colon problems. They removed 8" and she is on very expensive meds. $1,400 a bottle out of pocket.

Leaving for AR come Saturday morning.

See you Sunday.

Cataract surgery was wonderful. I no longer have to wear glasses, except reading glasses.

We boy never behave ourselves! :flushed:

55Wildcat sorry for your problems. I went through a similar problem back in March. I had 3 infusions of iron. They fixed my GI bleed and went through several test. They found the problem blood clot in my liver. On meds to slowly dissolve the clot. Stay positive and if you don't mind I'll be praying for the two of you. Peace be with you!

Good morning D.

Sorry to read of folks medical issues. I was spot free except for one kidney stone in '99 then I turned 45 and it's been one thing after another since. But all fairly minor so far.

Five yards mowed and weedeated yesterday. It was a sweat thru your clothes kind of day. Two largest yards on tap today, but I don't have to leave the family farm to do them....mine and my brothers.

I am all alone this weekend. Doesn't happen often. I may absolutely go wild. Order out some chinese food or something lol.

Be safe. Drink water. Stay cool

Man it was rocking and rolling for a couple of hours here last night. Many trees and power lines down. In my area around 20,000 with power loss, Southern ILL around 35,000 more. One Lady driving home hade a big tree limb smash through her front windshield hit the steering wheel and deflect to passenger's seat. Bruised badly and a few cuts. Very lucky Lady. How was your night?

I saw on radar that it looked rough that way. You all get some good ones coming in from Illinois and Missouri pretty often looks like.
