D-League

At work taking the first break of the day. Been busy, late spring and all through the summer is the high tide for PCS (Permanent Change of Station) in the Army. Had a lot of soldiers come through the office this morning. Just finished with a 1SG going to Hawaii. We have to fly him there anyway so, he and his family are taking leave there before reporting in to his next assignment. There are some really good pros to being in the military, travel being on of them. Did a lot of that while I was in.

As of 1:16 this afternoon I’ve been married 30 years
It’s hard to believe that so much time has passed when it seems to have gone in a blink. Even more amazing is that we love each other more now than we did then.
I’m truly blessed y’all
You are truly blessed to have a marriage like ya'll have. Congratulations!!! QB's birthday is today (74.) We have been married 55 years. I have known my QB for 62 years. Love at 1st sight.

Happy Birthday to your QB!
I’ve known my Robbie for 36 years...can’t say it was love at first sight since I couldn’t stand him at first. :joy:

Congrats BKO.

52 years ago tonight I have my first date with my wife. Time goes by fast.

Congratulations to everyone on their anniversaries, birthdays, first days, and what not.

55 years ago tonight was my last night as an only child.

Got the grass mowed and the weeds ate. Broke a healthy sweat.

Got the feet for my speakers finished and installed. All that's left now is to put the coating on them. Still can't get over how good they sound. Next up is a center channel speaker. The woofers and tweeter are from Polk. Should sound pretty good as well.

Pizza tonight.

I think it's about time to replace the overhead fan on our ceiling deck cover. It's making some funny sounds and not acting right. 20 years old for an outdoor fan is pretty good I guess. I have ceiling fans indoors that are closer to 30 years and still going strong.
I wish I had installed ceiling fans on my front porch.

I put this off forever on my screened in back porch. Once I did it i was blown away (pun intended) at how much better a relatively inexpensive fan from Lowe's is compared to the one I replaced. Another technology that has improved substantially.

RIP Mrs. Ledford. I shared a house/dump on Maxwell Street behind Wildcat Lodge and Memorial Coliseum my junior year (1981). I passed Cawood twice on my way to class and both times he flashed that big smile. I spoke to him briefly once. I can't remember what was said but it really doesn't matter. A true Kentucky treasure.
