You know, Cal might not be talking about platooning this year as a strategy, but, if Travis makes the right decision and joins this juggernaut then I can see Cal at least trying it out some. The Bahamas would be the perfect time for that, just like the last time.

I would like to see him platoon for the first half just to see who was "ON" that night and then adjust in the second half accordingly. We would be game planning against 5 guys and our opponents would have to plan for 10. Not that we really have to game plan beyond "NEXT!"

Being a Stanford grad, he'll make the right decision[winking].

Happy Father's Day to all!

My Dad grew up in Brownsville, KY. He lived in a place where the Walton's would have been considered the rich kids on the block. When his family moved to Louisville in 1949 he got a job working as a mail runner making 50 cents an hour. He stuck with it and eventually became the CEO of the same company. He wasn't given anything, he worked his way up the ladder the old fashioned way. I didn't know until just recently how tough times were when I was growing up. Mom and Dad never complained and ALWAYS made us feel secure. Yeah I've said it before, he's my only hero and I truly mean it.

You, me and Rooster have family from Edmonson County. My dad grew up outside Park City. The farm was in Barren and Edmonson Counties. My mom was born in Warren County and then grew up in the Cedar Springs area. We had no money, but we always had land and we were well fed.

Both of my parent’s families lost land to the creation of Mammoth Cave National Park. My grandpa Higginbotham made whiskey (legally) and the spring was in what is now Mammoth Cave national park, so he could not make whiskey anymore. The federal government paid little for the land.

As done by your dad, sooner or later hard work pays off.

Happy Fathers Day
Finished making the homemade ice cream, currently in freezer. Had to sample it...not bad.
#3 had to go in to work today
#2 will be here shortly to do some laundry
#1 is coming over a little later

Im gonna go see Dad this evening at the Symphonic Band concert. He played in it for over 50 yrs. Still would be now if he could...

Back from seeing Dad. He enjoyed his pork. I asked him before I left my house if he wanted me to bring bbq sauce for it. He said "I've had your pork before, I don't need any sauce". I know he's prejudiced, but it made me feel good anyway.

Funny thing happened while I was there. 3 different nurses came in at different times and did 3 different things. He said "they don't usually come in on Sunday except to give me my medicine". Well, when I got there, the lady in charge was in the front office and I said HI to her. I guarantee she made a call to let the nurses in his section know I was on campus. Haha. Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. There have been a few things happen in the past that caused me to go over their heads to get them tuned up.

True, if I'm correct, your (UK82s) maternal grandparents are buried in the same cemetery at Sweeden Baptist Church as my maternal grandparents & great grandparents. It's Bert's fault we get to see this.

Thanks Bert :americanflag:
It's actually my paternal great grandparents. I remember you posted a pic of their headstone too. Much appreciated. Grandma Vincent (Elice) passed away when I was 9. I never knew Grandpa Vincent (Gabe). I guess it would be paternal since they're my Dad's mother's parents. Or would it be maternal because it's my grandmother's parents? I'm confused as usual.

We all come from good stock Bert! My Mom's side of the family are from the Central City area but most of them moved in the 30's and 40's to Louisville or southern Indiana.

"He's here." Ssssssshhhhhh.

Good morning from Lakeland, FL. Currently 75°F and humid. Expecting 96°F later today.

Arrived here a bit late last night. I slept great. Plan on walking Riley, a loving American Pit Bull Terrier, with other little brother in about 30 minutes from now. Gonna visit mom later this morning.

Yeah, big surprise yesterday after visiting a cousin. She discovered many startling revelations through Ancestry.com, like a missing half-brother and half-sister. I had a military DNA test done in 1987 or '88. Next is getting a commercial DNA test conducted soon after I return off this trip.

Monday, Monday.

Y'all behave.
