D-League

Lock your doors and close your shades because the Jehovah's Witnesses are out in force tonight. I just had to fight one off. Thankfully my dog made it much easier.
Oh boy . . . try 'splaining math, laws of physics, chemistry, big bang, genetics, evolution, and the truth you know versus insane BS. Look out 360° incoming, dodge, duck!

Also modern medicine. That usually pisses them off.

At least the Mormons are just young adults out on their missions. They always attack, er I mean approach me on their bikes while I'm out walking in the neighborhood. They're much easier to get rid of than the JWs.

Momos, I love them. Great folk. The best Arizonans are Indians, Punchers, Charros (Americans of Mexican descent) & Mormons. Not the bible thumping do-gooders (not that they're bad). The "Jacks" (South Phoenix Hamblins - decendents of Jacob)
Oh My . . .

. . . Friends! Nice ..
Here's a youtube video of Bruce Hamblin playing bass, World's greatest Taco-billy Mario Moreno on guitar.
:cool2:
Enjoy!

I used to have a neighbor that would take on JWs and Mormons all the time. They got to the point where they just didn’t come to our cul de sac anymore! They weren’t going to convert him and it wasn’t worth the arguing
When I was living in Kirwan IV, a million years ago. I had Missionaries coming to see me weekly. I 'splained the best I could that I was a Southern Baptist and a sinner. God already knows this and forgives me or I don't have a chance. Finally, I offered them a shot of bourbon. They didn't accept. After a few solos, one of these young men ask me how much I would drink. I 'splained I did ^not^ know how long he would stay. They never returned.

Morning you guys and gal. 74° F here and still 97% humidity. It is, as my dad used to say, "close".

On Mormon's and JW's I have never had any luck changing their religious views. When they start their pitch, I try to convert them to be a born-again Southern Baptist. That usually shortens the conversation.

My sister-in-law is Mormon. She started out as a Southern Baptist but apparently the Mormon she met, out talked her.

Back to Roosters take on the sciences; my big mistake was to major in chemistry and you learn the scientific method and when you apply that to the world and religion it sure gets confusing. When you apply that to the religious solicitors at your front door it really pisses most of them off. They prefer to leave rather than hear a born-again Southern Baptist applying scientific method to their faith. :flushed:

Good morning.

Rooster has 5 beers and crickets in the D . . . . Wussies. Now I have to be drunk and civil?. . . . @ymmot31 any suggestions?

[laughing] touche'

I started cutting holes for my speakers yesterday with a router. I made my own template and was attempting to cut 5.75" holes. First one was a bit too big. Next was a bit too small. Third one was bigger than it should be but still acceptable. I think I'll buy a template. May even cut another face plate and call this a lesson.

Woodworking is easy. Accuracy is hard.

Hold up a Dianetics book and ask if they’re interested

I would like to go to the lake today and ride around in my boat. I don't have a boat but I would like to. Now, I don't want to have to maintain a boat, or store a boat, or pull a boat with the truck I don't have. I don't want to have to fool around with putting my boat in and taking it out of the water. I just want a boat.

Good Morning D-Leagueanites.
  • 79º in Johns Creek. Rained all night. Some toonder and lightning.
  • Mocking Birds chasing Hoot Owl. Funny.
  • Owl trying to fish in the Koi Pond until it saw me.
  • Owl moved back into a tree. MBs trying to annoy. Unsuccessful.
  • Gotta go to work soon. Don't want to.
  • Nothing going on.
  • Be safe today. Crazyass drivers.
  • Carry on.

So did my daughter when she was younger and oddly enough, so did I. No the words to their theme song.
I’ve watched every show and every movie
I got to stretch out my interest because I started watching with my older son and by the time he began losing interest, the younger son got into it.
And I know all the words to the theme song too :joy:

We finally tried a popsicle from Steel City Pops. Pretty damn good.

I'm trying to devise a better system so I can search my LPs more efficiently. My wife finally let me store all her old albums from before we got hitched and that helps. Thank God! Now all those old Barbara Streisand, Olivia Newton-John, Barry Manilow and Helen Reddy records are in a box in a dark corner of the basement. Of course I also ditched albums I'll probably never play again. Albums that I bought for just one song and then found out the rest of the songs sucked. Triumvirat, Starcastle, Kraftwerk (Autobahn LP), etc..
