Pray for me. Birthday party at Chuck E Cheese this afternoon for a newly minted 9 yr old, followed by a overnight sleepover by a 5 yr old.

And it will be the saddest day of my life when I realize that days like today will end before I realize it.

Where were you in '62 (American Graffiti). Well I was 2 so I don't remember.

Met my wife in '62. She was a 16 years old (almost 17) car hop at an A&W Root Beer stand. I was 18. We married 16 months later. Unless one went to college (most didn't) that's what you did back in the day. Going to college never entered my mind.

76 right now, slight breeze, feels great!
Went to Lowes, bought a gift card. Brought home donuts from Donut Bank. Walked around the yard, took all kinds of pictures.
I'm still the only one awake...geez what a waste of a beautiful day.

Ellsworth fishing activity?

Rooster's perception - fish mid-night until mid-morning (cool) home for siesta. Why did you sleep after midnight? Particular strategy (fishing secret)? I have no idea about fishing in Oklahoma, but love fishing.
Did Ellsworth last week, one bass. Pond jumping at Ft. Sill this morning. First Stop was my only stop, Rattler pond. 6 bass one catfish off of blue stick worm and blue rodent (plastic). Kept 5 bass and let wife filet when I got home. 2 3/4 ponds of filet. Do have a story of the one that got away. Probably 5 or 6 lbs, fought well but got off before I could see it.

Rattler is my go to on post. Most don't like to go there do to rattler population (thus the name). Not sure there are many there anymore, have not seen any in years while fishing there. It is also right next to the grenade range. Used to sneak over there during lunch breaks and after training day when I was a Drill Sergeant. Did run into a water moccasin though.

I decided to go to the shop and finish cutting the holes for the speakers. Had to come in to see the diameter of the tweeter hole. I went with my template and the undersized holes. I can sand them out a little and have a perfect fit. I can make a little drum sander for a drill that should work fine for that.

Beautiful day.

6 lbs is the biggest that I ever landed. I lost my bud's right-handed outfit (I am LH) one time on a fish that I didn't get a visual on. My HOs insurance bought him another one. I have a good idea why the rattlers disappeared.

Met my mother-in-law in March 1966. She would not date me so she fixed me up with her daughter on June 18. I married her on August 18; however, I was already a junior in college.

My parents made me go to college. I never knew I had a choice.

My Dad tried. Just not hard enough. He was too good to me because I played football.

Caught my biggest bass (right at 6 lbs) at LETRA (Lake Elmer Thomas Recreation Area) Ft. Sill. About a week later, using live minnow fishing for Crappie, I landed a 13 lb Cat. They have my picture on the wall in their little store there. UK hat and shirt on holding the catfish.

In for the night. Got lots done today. All the holes are cut and I made a drum sander to open up the holes for a press fit.

Now I just have to cut the top and bottom pieces and all the parts will be ready to glue up. I really think now that I'll be listening to tunes on these things by next Saturday.
