FCC's children have to ride a bus over to Charleston every week to cut the yard by hand!

He's back at the nursing since about 1600 today. He agreed with me that the reward wasn't worth the risk and opted to not have the operation.

Storm is rolling through at the moment, knocked out my satellite for a bit.
Great news about PJ...can't lie, I didn't think he was coming back & figured JV and WG would. I never try to out guess or speculate any more. Such a waste of time. The Cats roster looks pretty salty right now!
Redhead is working late....I cooked tonight for #3. Grilled chicken, Italian (sort of) salad and some fried apples. Wasn't much, but he approved.
FCC i gotta front porch & a rocker...I can make tea. Bring the kids, I got some stuff for'em to do!

- 68º in Johns Creek. Sun's out. Rained some more last night. Lake Lanier is 2 feet over full.
- The deck is wet in places. Lola can't come out here 'cause she just had a bath.

- Raccoons. Steve Meillinger tried to give me his raccoon back in the day. It was cute when it was a baby, but then it grew up. QB said "No!" He played with Babe Parelli. Did you know that Steve played some QB at UK too? He was a big, big man. Nice guy.

- #3 will be home Monday/Tuesday. He gets his sergeant stripes July 1st. He leaves for Vicenza, Italy June 10th.

No need Bert. I have gardeners on staff that take care of the grounds. Besides, FCC keeps the kids toiling in his fields from sun up till sun down.
Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts. Nothing has really changed for him except that now he knows he has a broken hip. Or had, it's already growing back. Funny thing, the bone doctor didn't even come to see him yesterday. I guess when he told them he wasn't going to have the operation they moved on to greener pastures.
Working on an extra large sausage egg and cheese sammich at the moment. Took a break to get my breath and make this post.
Friend came over yesterday afternoon just minutes before a huge storm hit. He helped me get the pieces cut for the speakers I'm building. I suppose I could have done it myself but dealing with big sheets of 3/4" MDF is kinda tricky. I've got both of them mocked up now with a bunch of clamps and everything looks good. Hope to have them done by next week.

I finished the sammich and it was touch and go there for a bit, but I think I'm going to survive it.
WTH is going on with UK football now? I guess we're trying to emulate the successful programs who recruit knuckleheads because they're good players. Oh well, if we're going to go that route then we need to revisit our policies of cutting guys for drug and alcohol events.

Slugging it out this morning at work with the Z Monster. Updating mandatory scheduled training, Need Friday to end now, fishing tomorrow morning.

I was gonna mow when I got home, clouded up, thunders rumbling and the ground is still really wet from the past 3-4 days.
I've resorted to drinking beer on the front porch and wave as the cars go by.
About 12 of us meeting up at the Inn here in a bit...
