I've 3 pair. One pair of Anna's out front. Another pair of Anna's out back. The males fight each other all the time and are scared to death of the females after the young leave the nest and start to forage.

A pair of Black-chinned on the east side.

All of them hawk insects and love it when I mow and stir them up.

You're lucky because from what I've read there are many more varieties of hummingbirds west of the Mississippi (maybe the Rockies) than the east. Fascinating creatures.

We are watching my daughters Golden Retriever puppy while she is out of town for 10 days....Good Lawd is that thing hyper. Wound up tighter than an 8 day clock!

love my daughter and granddaughter dearly, and love seeing them, but was ready for them to leave tonight; the grand is in her terrible twos and her momma was pretty fed up

oh, btw - my son officially popped the question to his g/f. Date set for 2019.

Visited mother in-law in the hospital this afternoon. Gangrene has worsened. More surgery tomorrow to remove more of her left foot. It looks bad. Ugh!

At 73, feeling SEMI-fresh is pretty darn good and about the best you can hope for.
