That sounds like a good plan. But you guys don't need to bring bourbon. I have a bunch.
It would also be nice to get Jerry to come also. His wife now works in Smiths Grove so he knows the route.
I am missing a bunch. I don't know if you two have ever had Russell's Reserve Bourbon is fantastic and I have finished off my last bottle. Also Russell's Reserve Rye is fantastic. Blanton's is fantastic (it has the metal horse on the cork).
But if you guys show up I will provide the drink. It is just good to have friends over.
By the way, I talked to Joe B. Hall yesterday. I had not talked to him since basketball season was over. He is doing good but at soon to be 88 he can't do much physically. He still makes all the home games but the last NCAA game was the 2012 championship.
He absolutely loves Cal. He calls him John and he thinks UK will be competitive again this year. He has breakfast with John often. Joe still has a fantastic memory and we went over some of our times together. He is still lost without Katherine, but he was getting ready to have dinner with his great grand child. I love Joe B.

The interest rates for used trucks are crap. The best I've found is 5.49 for 5 years or 4.99 for 4. With good credit.

School starts in two and a half weeks - so, youngest will be gone all day. Fun times. Dreading his school fees. Also, he's grown so much this summer NONE of his clothes really fit; gonna have to shop for him from the skin out. Then, school supplies. This might get expensive
At least it's a beautiful day out there - not as humid.
Hope all area well

We were staying at The Sands a long time ago, and in fact, I was having some figs at breakfast. I looked across the room and there was Joe Louis and Jesse Owens having their breakfast.
Do you ever make benyas? I never have, but I want to do that.
First time I was in Vegas was in 1979. It was still pretty much like the old Vegas you see in the movies. Glad I got to go then because it is totally different now.

Yes I was. And it was hot and windy. Like a hair dryer blowing in your face. Felt like my shoes were melting as I walked on the sidewalk.
Did you play golf? I played a few times there. You could hit it a mile in all of that heat.
No. I wasn't playing golf at that time. I was a pretty good tennis player though.
I've played golf in Phoenix, but never in Vegas.
