CI Wrestling Thread #56

BTW, is Bianca Belair the women's version of Brock Lesnar? Not only does she win a gauntlet match to be the last woman in the Chamber but she's the last one standing today. Has she lost a single match since Summer Slam?

Not counting House shows and Dark matches, she has the below losses since SummerSlam...
  1. Tag match on January 17
  2. #1 contender match on January 10
  3. #1 contender match on November 8
  4. Women's title match on November 1
  5. Women's title match on October 21
  6. Tag match on October 11
  7. Singles match on October 1
  8. Singles match at Extreme Rules

And if you include house shows and dark matches, she has only won 33% of her 2022, 50% of her 2021 matches, and 59.5% of her 2020 matches.

Only counting years in which Lesnar had at least 5 matches, the worst year he had was 62.5%. During his time as a regular regular participant, he was never below 70%.

So Lashley out 4 months with shoulder surgery?
Worst thing was Drew going against Madcap Moss - he deserves way better

We should be getting the Drew/Lesnar rematch at mania but they’ve built Roman up so much the only WM opponents he could have are Brock/Rock otherwise no one would think he’s going to lose and you are just jobbing someone out - at least Goldberg Is finally done

Just finished watching the show with my daughter. I thought it was pretty "meh" but she enjoyed most of it.

Quick thoughts

- The believability factor with Brock is through the roof and he's more likable now than hes ever been.
- Vince must really like that Theory kid.
- Title vs Title is not what I would have done, but still looking forward to it.
- Can tell Rollins has been skipping the gym. New baby will do that
- Charlotte is much more attractive with every inch of her body covered up.
- Doudrop is disgusting.

I mean I pretty much agree with all this

I do think theory is part of the next big wave along with Steiner/tbd when the older guys aren’t in the main event scene as much anymore - at least Goldberg will stop hogging a main event spot

Wondering if TK’s big announcement has something to do with what happened at No Surrender? It feels like it almost has to bleed over into AEW. White turning on Tama Tonga and Loa is crazy. Can’t wait to see where this goes.

1-17: Becky Lynch & Doudrop defeat Bianca Belair & Liv Morgan. Morgan takes the pin
1-10: Doudrop defeats Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan. Morgan takes the pin
11-8: Liv Morgan defeats Belair, Carmella, Queen Zelina, Rhea Ripley. Carmella takes the pin
* 11-1: Becky Lynch (c) defeats Bianca Belair (18:40)
10-21: Becky Lynch (c) defeats Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks (19:23). Banks took the pin
*10-1: Sasha Banks defeats Bianca Belair (13:23)
9-26 Extreme Rules: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair - No Contest (17:27)

Looks like Belair is pretty protected while others who should also be pushed (Rhea Ripley) seems like an afterthought these days.

We have to admit that Goldberg still gets a pretty decent pop when making sporadic appearances but I feel like the real issue is Vince can no longer create new stars. At this point, Vince should have had guys like Karrion Kross and Keith Lee occupying those spots.

Another shitty PPV, not that my expectations were very high - WWE had better figure out who the next wave of stars is. Right now you've got Roman/Brock/Orton and really nobody else who is believable as a world title contender. With Lashley now out, who is going to step up? Drew is a solid worker and OK on the mic but he doesn't do much for me.

They still have a lot of talented women on the roster - Becky, Charlotte, Sasha are all great. Belair is beyond played out already - someone needs to cut that effing hair off of her so she can't twirl it around like an idiot anymore. When is Bayley coming back? She'd add another great worker to that group.

Oh boy, shit just turned up a notch. First time since 2019 a full-time member has officially left Bullet Club.

When we finally get the Elite/Bullet Club/Paragon story started it's going to get wild. For those not aware, Paragon will eventually be the stable name for Adam Cole, ReDragon, and Britt Baker (and maybe others?) will be.

Can I get a cliff notes version? I'm not listening to him for 43 minutes

So there, I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Flair wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Lou Thesz pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Angelo Poffo, and Stan Lane, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopkeeper and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really, but sure enough I got the M&Ms, and Flair went on stage and did a great show.

It has dawned on me that I only watch AEW now. I read to keep up with WWE, but haven't been inspired to watch a thing recently. I've wanted to want to - but the write ups leave me with no desire.

I loved NXT. It was fantastic, but I'm not even willing to try now - though I feel that Steiner may be worth watching.

Apparently they are putting a lot into the house show at MSG next week. They had Heyman and Lesnar do a promo on it. He is scheduled to face Lashley which we know isn't happening.

I think a fun ending would be that somehow some hair related celebrity find a way to shove a crowbar into Bianca Belairs hair and then just bash it into Charlottes head a bunch.

Young Bucks and reDRagon part of the Tag Team Battle Royale on Wednesday

The Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds)
2point0
Santana and Ortiz
The Young Bucks
FTR
Private Party
reDRagon
The Gunn Club
The Butcher & The Blade
The Best Friends (Trent Beretta & Chuck Taylor).

Edge is facing AJ. The subtle "I am phenomenal" gave that away. Here is my prediction of the card so far.

Brock vs. Roman
Becky vs. Bianca
Ronda vs Charlotte
AJ vs. Edge
Miz/Paul vs. Mysterios
Mcintyre vs. Corbin
Owens vs. Austin
Orton vs. Riddle (If they split)
Cody Rhodes vs. Rollins
Zayn vs. Knoxville
Naomi vs. Deville
Usos vs. Viking Raiders

If the Austin/Rhodes thing doesn't pan out, I can see them hedging and having Owens/Rollins vs. RK Bro
