They lost me at Excalibur as best announcer. Iād rather have a 3-man booth of Jr, Tony and Taz. TOPE SUICIDA!!!!!!!!!!
I like Excalibur for his rich knowledge of the indy's. Kinda helps me a bit when guys like Mox and Bryan had matches way back when and I had no idea those existed before WWE. But I don't think Taz gets the credit he deserves. Dude cracks me up.
Wonder if it's a crossover event or agreement with NJPW, kinda like what ROH had with NJPW?
This is what I'm praying for. You've had a bunch of top guys like Suzuki and White show up from NJPW. The name Bullet Club has been thrown around a whole lot more then it has in the past. Best Friends are apart of Chaos. Romero seems to be on TV bi-weekly now. The fact TK was able to call up NJPW on a Sunday to get White on a Wednesday would indicate there is a good working relationship there. I think we could honestly see a super show or something. Maybe TK now owns NJPW lolol.
Apparently AEW is going to be bringing in two more former WWE talents to go with Buddy Matthews (formerly Buddy Murphy). That's going to be a bloated roster if they keep this up. THey really should consider making Dark and Dark elevation an actual third/fourth wrestling show to showcase younger, midcard talents against each other instead of having it be mostly just 5-minute or less squash matches often featuring wrestlers that aren't even signed with AEW. It should be treated like how NXT used to be, not just some stupid throwaway show to pad win-loss records.

Also saw that now aew is going to be on a budget with signings after Lee and Murphy until they get a new tv deal
Don't really see the need to make anymore big signings unless someone too good to pass up falls in their lap, would pretty much have to be an elite NJPW guy to qualify for that, like an Okada, Ibushi, Ospreay, etc.
For real aew needs some sort of brand split -

Looks like this AEW TV deal doesn't expire until 2023. Looks like the only debuts TK will be able to hype after the next 3 former WWes sign (sounds like Buddy, Swerve, and Hardy) will have to be forbidden door type things for quite a while if he sticks to that.
Hobbs is a beast and they need to stick with pushing him on tv with Ricky Starks and Hook. Christian should be used sparingly and like a big deal since they heralded him as a hall of famer. This is simpleā¦ a lot of contracts are going to be allowed to run out with no extensions. TK wouldnāt budge with Cody, an EVP, and let him go. Basically shows anyone is on the chopping block except Omega, BD, Mox, and Punk.
2023 is next year but they prob signed all the major guys they wanted to by now anyways

On another note, Ivelisse is borderline nut job. Still holding a grudge against Thunder Rosa. This isnāt the first time sheās said stuff. She will usually post stuff on Twitter stories so it disappears after so long, about AEW or Rosa.
So what I'm reading is that Elimination Chamber was even worse than Royal Rumble? That's kind of hard to imagine. Not surprising, an approximately 3-hour PPV that featured just 76.47 minutes of wrestling.

How can anyone take Meltzer seriously? At one time he would call out a shitty product but now he's become nothing but a cheerleader for AEW.
Because Meltzer rates things based on the actual wrestling, not the dumbass entertainment shit like WWE does all the time, like scooter races, spelling bees, poker games, etc.
The shitty wrestling product is WWE, not AEW, because the wrestling runs 2nd to the entertainment side of the product.
Like I've said before, AEW's product is wrestling (as is New Japan and the top indies in general), WWE's product is entertainment.
Awards that are based on wrestling are typically going to go to the organizations that prioritize wrestling, not entertainment.
