CI Wrestling Thread #56

Speaking of being too sensitive, it appears that Max Caster may have been kicked from AEW for his rap. He’s the one who rapped about the Duke lacrosse scandal and the Olympian with mental issues. People got easily triggered by it, cried a river, and now it seems he’s gone. How stupid.
Apparently those people don't listen to real rap and hip hop.

AEW is the woke wrestling federation. I am sure they would have called themselves WWF instead but well you know why they didn't. 😂

I’m in this camp.

This does not mean the WWE is without fault. Their product in general is a lame comedy skit and they have a bad habit of booking the same match 4 weeks in row. Raw is still a chore to watch every week. If it wasn’t for DVR I wouldn’t even try.
and it is the same match they expect me to be hyped to watch on the next PPV. I mean why would I be excited to see Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley for the 5th time in the past month?

Surprised z didn’t post this

The latest episode of Being the Elite features teases of both Bray Wyatt and Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan. During the episode, members of the Elite discover a 2-pack of WWE action figures in a store. The two wrestlers featured in the pack are Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan.
“Hey Kenny, what’s behind you?” Matt Jackson and Brandon Cutler ask Kenny Omega in the video. When Omega turns around he sees several AEW action figures as well as a 2-pack of WWE action figures. He then pulled out the 2-pack of Wyatt and Danielson.

Omega recognized Wyatt but didn’t seem to know who the other guy in the pack was.

“One guy is a fiend, I don’t know about…” Omega says before putting his own action figure in front of the pack on the shelf.

remember when AEW bragged about not worrying about the WWE (I don’t care that they do, but come on…)

Boys… Ric flair is trending on Twitter again. Except this time… it’s not wrestling related. Someone snapped a picture of people… being involved…. On a train and it looks like flair. I guess they really didn’t tear down ole space mountain.

If Paul Wight squashes QT Marshall that's going to make him the biggest baby face around right?

Fun show so far...and hey Penelope Ford is coming up, so that's always a good thing.

Apparently Penelope's luggage was lost and she had to wrestle with what she was wearing.
Probably in the minority but I liked the finish of the main event, thought the right guy won.

Where does this put Jericho in his role as leader of the Inner Circle? Lost 3X now to MJF. Tapped out in his last loss. All the other Inner Circle members should have lost confidence in him. Barring any All In last match, I think IC is done.

I think Jericho is hanging up his boots and will disband IC, giving Santana and Ortiz their freedom to go after tag gold and have Sammy go solo (and possibly continue the MJF feud). And Jericho will enter the booth and start doing commentary full-time.

Hager I guess will disappear, and no one will really care because no one really cared when he was around either.

Damian Priest has been on Raw for seven months and has wrestled 18 televised matches. 13 of those matches were against some combination of the Miz and John Morrison.
That is the stuff that drives me nuts. It's like they don't know how to advance a storyline without putting guys in the ring together every week.

The crowd was fire all night for AEW. Probably the best crowd I’ve ever heard. That was insane. They did a great job with Judas as well. It sounded like they were all in sync and it went really smoothly.

That Mox match named for Friday seems out of place. Almost like it was put on the card to allow someone to make a surprise appearance and start a feud with arguably the most popular guy in AEW.....

Few NXT things...

For the first time maybe ever there's no media call before Takeover on Sunday. Usually HHH would talk about the product and preview the show.

NXT did 654,000 viewers on Tuesday night, and it looks like they will tape the next three weeks of TV following Takeover as opposed to being live.

Dynamite did 975,000 viewers last night and a .35 in the 18-49 putting it 4th for the night.
It did a .50 in males 18-49 #1 on the night by a wide margin.
