If I’m NXT I’m pushing he or Spears to the title picture.Just read Ethan Page signed with nXT. That’s a good get for them. He’s really solid and looks like a WWE guy.
Finisher ? Is there such a thing in wrestling anymore ? Well I mean before the 4th attempt ? Kicking out of supposed finishing moves three or four times has made wrestling almost unwatchable. You know the first couple of times at minimum, they are kicking out.I only saw clips online, but Trick Williams’ finisher is absolutely horrible. And Hayes’ finisher was horrible. And as much as I love the mad man, Dragunov’s finisher wasn’t that great. Can someone at NXT get their top guys a finisher that actually looks like it could end a match?
I can see putting Punk on both lists. Once he did the Gripebomb it should have been game over for him. There's no coming back to that much blatant disrespect for leadership and others who help built that company after he rejected the opportunity to be there from day one to help build and grow the company.Good lists. It's amazing what Swerve's become compared to what he once was. Hopefully he won't be a transitional champion but I think that's going to happen. If Danielson was much younger, he'd be anyone's first pick when starting a new company. Claudio has always been, and will always be great. There's just something missing there personality wise. He got chances in WWE but once he flubbed a line in an important promo, I literally said to myself, "welp, that's it for him." and it was.
On your worst list, can't really argue Punk. Someone on reddit had him both best and worst. Miro may be injured but he wasn't this bad in WWE. Wonder if they'd want to deal with him again. Dude is built like a brick house but finds every excuse to stay home. Buddy and Black I get. It's just a bad fit and they clearly hate their time in AEW. Buddy would've fit with The Judgment Day. He just needs a name change. Black has something but he needs to step away from the lights on, lights off shit. I don't care if he's into black metal or whatever the hell. He's not in Mayhem. We did get goth Julia Hart because of the HoB though.
Also I'm seeing more Ricky Starks to WWE talk lately. Guess his contract might be up soon. He's a Cody and Punk guy so I can't imagine how happy he'll be to get there. I like that dude even though he's small.
And Matt is going to be competing for the TNA title at the next TNA PPV, embarrassing. To me it’s the Hardy’s because well when you employ Jeff hardy you know what you’re getting and Matt is already back in tna.
Two weeks between doesn't really make any difference as far as what the fans biggest gripes were with it - too much to spend that close together. Is one week really going to make any difference in that regard?Seems like a good idea, one week between shows was too close. Plus it's a Saturday now.
You're about to be paying sports entertainment taxes because UFC wants to do the same thing.#WWE is said to be looking to try and get site fees from cities not only for PLEs, but also for all Raw and SmackDown shows at some point in the future:
"Right now, they’re just getting them for the pay-per-view shows, and not even necessarily every pay-per-view show in the United States. Although now that the B-shows have been pretty much moved overseas and they're getting site fees for those shows, and the A-shows are gonna mostly be stadium shows - maybe Survivor Series will probably still be an arena show - but the idea is they’re working on getting site fees.
"They already do for Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and WrestleMania, and they’re working on getting them for Money in the Bank and Survivor Series, and now the next step is to get communities to pay them to bring Raw and SmackDown tapings in. Hey, more power to them if they can get it.
"I don’t know how many people as far as tourists flock to a city on a Monday or Friday when Raw and SmackDown are in town. They do come in for pay-per-views. But if they can get it… just to come to your city, they’re gonna want your city to pay.
"And it's a great business to be in, it takes away all the risk of running shows if you’re getting paid to come in, that’s for sure. They’re giving you the building for free, and you’re gonna get paid to come in, and you’re gonna get other benefits from the city - promotional and everything like that, they’ll help you promote your event because it’s incumbent on them for the event to be a success because the whole idea of spending that money is to bring people into the city and come to restaurants and stay at hotels and all that.
"We’ll see if they can pull that off. If they do, that’s transformative."

That market is one of their best markets, and the arena is only seats like 2K people. The WWE thing is a tall task. That may have worked in the Attitude Era but every current Raw and SD ain't exactly an unforgettable Taylor Swift experience. The AEW Dallas regency is probably a great move for the company money wise but show wise those crowds will probably be awful. Imagine a seemingly cold product posting up in one city for several shows. You're also killing that town as AEW's fanbase isn't large enough to have a great showing over and over and over in one location.
Swerve vs Wayne makes sense bc of the Christian aspect but man, he's still been booked so damn bad as a new champion. And Danielson vs Satnam? Where in the blue hell did that come from? A legend's last year and he's wasting time with a giant who might be slightly better than a phone booth. I've grown to question all of Danielson's decisions at this point.
WWE nearly went bankrupt in the 90s and only a few years later was the hottest thing in the industry.Maybe I'm just a Drew-like hater but I don't see how AEW gets hot again.
Both New Japan and AEW say that isn't true. New Japan said they would have been using her this year already if she had been cleared. When AEW signed her they knew she wouldn't be able to wrestle until May.She was apparently cleared in Dec. but I don't know if that means cleared to work out and take bumps or to actually wrestle. Big difference there. Best move for her is Willow wins and Mone turns heel after the match. At least then we'd have heel Mercedes who occasionally wrestles. Worst move would be giving her the title and keeping her as this tweener that the fans are already annoyed by.
You could say they both copying New Japan because New Japan was doing this first for their New Japan Cup
So the guy who was doing clownish comedy stuff for the large portion of 2023 has now thrown it out the window becuase he threw away a mask that represented the culmination of all that bullshit?Mjf, maybe the last holdout of being a clown threw that out the window tonight.
Good lord. Was he trying to be Al Jolson?!
FYI - it was a kayfabe interview with his home promotion in JapanSo it’s interesting the week before his iwjp title match Takeshita took a shot at how he has been booked in AEW - prob should have made those comments today instead of last week
It did not air fine on YouTube TV.If you were watching the end of Raw on USA went to the next program before the show was over so you didn't see the Liv and Dom kiss. Apparently on YouTube TV it aired fine.
He'll be good in NXT. Better fit for WWE than AEW, but can't see him ever amounting to much of anything on the main roster.Just read Ethan Page signed with nXT. That’s a good get for them. He’s really solid and looks like a WWE guy.
Arn Anderson said he is going to be focusing on working with his kid, who was released by AEW sometime last yearInteresting program for NXT last night. PwInsider says their will most likely be some crossover between NXT folks and TNA, most likely for their next PPV.
It also sounds like a bunch of AEW deals are expiring and won't be renewed. Arn Anderson said on his podcast his last day is May 31st. Wonder if he's the manager Cody was talking about.
Also Jake Hager's deal is up and wasn't renewed.
And Matt is going to be competing for the TNA title at the next TNA PPV, embarrassing.
And that’s not the only awful creative thing they are doing, Ryan Nemeth also getting a tag title shot.Holy 2016.
Those we've spoken to in AEW say that the creative plans they've heard of with MJF seemed out of left field and would likely end up working out very well.
Cause tits and ass and blood HELL YEA MANWWE nearly went bankrupt in the 90s and only a few years later was the hottest thing in the industry.
Ok I guess I’m trying to be too logicalSkye Blue was revealed as Mercedes' Attacker
Might be interested in Trent being aligned with Don Callis.
Elite - Jack Perry acts like he just learned to cuss 3 months ago
Not a good 30 minutes at all
Ok I guess I’m trying to be too logical
So skye blue who was aligned with the former tbs champ Julia hart does nothing to stop Sasha from winning it on Sunday and then jobs out to her 3 days later in her first title defense - another meaningless storyline I suppose
I see you're new to AEW lol. They showed the Punk/Perry footage in April then a couple weeks later TK was attacked. Four weeks after that they did an anything goes brawl between Team Elite and Team AEW doing everything in the match you could possibly imagine. The storyline went from 10 to 150 in a few weeks.Sloooow down, Tony.
So looks like you didn’t actually watch because it was literally addressed during the opening segmentSo I finally got home and turned on dynamite…
Sasha wrestling skye blue - so skye blue was with Julia hart and now she’s a jobber again
And what happened with Sasha’s attacker
