Boom Williams situation getting distressing

Ok folks , honestly, it would not surprise me a bit if boom and boom Sr. Marched into coach stoops office and demanded pt and all sorts of things. If it's true, and he has threatened to quit, then I'm sure the coaches have asked him to relax and to think about what he is saying

They deal with this sort of All the time

What I do know is booms attitude sucks and he started his crap a couple of weeks ago

Strike one occurred during the FL game when he came bitching at the offensive line about the blocking----NOT COOL. Strike 2-all about me and not taking his benching week during MO game after crappy cutbacks and not sticking his chin out, not to mention the pathetic attempt to help block and do something for the team

So, if it's all about him , and his dad's silly outfit, then go on ....transfer out, sit out a year and have 1 or 2 left depending upon where you go. You can't spell team with an I

As much as you probably don't care about a 28 year old male in birmingham, al having your back, I do, Boom. Look forward to seeing you shredding the auburn defense.

134 posts in 4 years? Ok buddy.

Boom and Boom Sr would not act that way, I am sure of that. A guy can take a benching badly but that doesn't mean they're a prima donna or a terrible person. By all accounts, Boom is a great kid.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss all he said...some may be true...you can check out Twitter and see what his "sister" has been tweeting during games...sometimes if you're surrounded by bad noise it can cloud your judgment...doesn't mean he isn't a good person.

What could his sister be complaining about. The dude has the most carries on the team.

I had the displeasure of sitting next to Neil Brown's sister, who was an entitled piece of work. But it didn't make me think any less of Neil. But yeah, if your family is putting stuff in your head it can be heard to block that out.

They all need to step back and realize this...he gets the most carries...he is targeted in the screen game. He is featured in this offense

Personal issues is obviously coach speak for the fact that Boom is evaluating things. You don't walk off the field without your teammates and then fail to practice without there being sok conflict. That is similar to Harrow. Hopefully he comes to the conclusion that he wants to be here.

It seems apparent that nobody really knows what is going on, and I don't want to make ignorant assumptions, but if he is actually upset about playing time, it makes me wonder a bit about his sanity. When you are the running back of an SEC team that is 3-1, and the majority of our run offense is designed around getting you the ball, you have nothing to complain about. Boom is the starter and gets the lions share of the carries every week. If he is unhappy, he is delusional. It would be like the bass player of zepplin was mad that the drummer was getting a drum solo.

Except when Led Zeppelin's drummer got a solo, their bassist would just switch to playing keyboards.

Boom needs to play "keyboards."

Maybe he is getting pressured by his family to make a rash decision and he has no desire to do what his family wants.

The tone that Coach Stoops has used since this issue came to light concerning Boom leads me to believe that it is something personal. Coach stoops has also been extremely understanding and has made it known that he is in Boom's corner and will help any way he can.

I applaud Coach Stoops for it and hope for the best for Boom and his career as a Wildcat.

It takes a special kind of yenta to come to this confusion.

It's like some are tire of talking about winning and want to talk about a perceived controversy.

That's ok, you'll be welcome back on the Boom bandwagon after this is all over.

Never off the band wagon, I've just been watching sports long enough to know that walking off the field, after a win without your teammates then not going to practice is not a minor issue.

What are you seeing, that the rest of us yentas aren't....

The kid would start just about anywhere and he know's it, if he is going to ride the pine then he might as well transfer (not saying that is the case here). When you have a horse like him you may take him out for a couple of series, but he deserves to start. He is by far the most talented player on this roster, this looks like it has turned into a pissing contest between him and Stoops. I understand Stoops is trying to make a point, but sometimes you need to realize who butter's your bread and when to pick and choose your battles.

Almost everything you post on this board is a bad take.

I think Boom is the 3rd best back in the SEC. Boom is one of my favorites, but he's not bigger than the program. The sky is the limit for Boom, but somebody better remind him of whatever Mo Clarett spoke to the team about. Granted Clarett had different issues, but with him you had a guy that would not heed advice in the moment and it all came crashing down. Sucks because his average would probably be about 18.7 yards per carry this coming week if got most of the reps.

Top 5 maybe

I believe all of you giving Ryan grief over his statements have the eggs on your faces. It's like saying "we suck" at halftime only to have us win by a large margin. Hold onto your thoughts until the facts are all out.

I hope Boom and Stoops gets this worked and soon.

I hope Boom stays but you don't leave just because you get benched for a half. You have to care more about the team than you do yourself. I think he has been chewed on before in his career. He can't be missing the blitzers or we will need a new quarterback. I like the kid's talent and hope this is all blown out of proportion. But in the end it is up to the players to make the coach play them. Not the other way around.

The list is longer. Let's not kid ourselves. The best running back on the UK team isn't exactly cut and dry. Jo Jo executes the routes better, gets into the openings quicker, and he appears to see how the field of play develops just as well if not better. On 2nd and 6 against a pass/run defense I'm really liking Jo-Jo's chances to get into the secondary over Boom. None of that is to say we can do without Williams. We really can not.

I'm not going to Worry too much about this. For once in our football life time I feel our coach has us going in the right direction and that's the most important fact. Boom is a talent. I don't think any UK fan would disagree with that. Luckily for us, he just so happens to Play a spot on the field we have more talent than ever before. We're winning Games that in years past we would find a way to Lose. I think the kid will decide to stick with UK, but if he decides to leave, we will be in good hands and have talented rbs ready to step up and backs ready to commit in the future that can play. It's a great time to be a KY football fan and I'm not about to let any negative thing to ruin that for me.

I feel for Stoops....he probably deals with this stuff all the time. But you get the feeling that Boom thinks he is Percy Harvin or Reggie Bush in college and while he is a talent he isn't those guys. And even is he was you can't give players preferential treatment. If he gives in to Boom then you've got guys like Blake Bone and George (the freshmen tackle who's last name I have no prayer of spelling) who got benched in the Missouri game coming to you agitating to get off the bench and it's a slippery slope that never ends. Hopefully this is like what happened with Joe Crawford where he came back after thinking about leaving and was embraced by the fans.

Give me a break. UGA cut him loose and did not take his commitment out of HS when he committed year before, let's just say he is good player, not great, he is not on level with Fournette, Chubb or even 2 Rb's at UGA, Hurd is better and top 3 are better at Bama, Ark has 2 better and would have 3 if not for injury. Taylor at Fla is better. He is not the next Herschel Walker or Bo. Good college player.

Bottom line is this kid a good player, I like JoJo better because he runs inside tackles and hits hole, Boom runs for sideline
He needs to suck it up and be team player. Horton was more thought of than him. If he wants to leave than let him go, he can go to Ga Southern or Jacksonville St. and see how that plays.
IMO
