I believe Matt has stated over and over he's not a football expert. I will say this, he really has expanded his football knowledge. It's be awhile since he said anything foorball related that I thought was not accurate.
I agree that he has stated that he is not a football expert. Some comments are best not said over the radio (Ryan).
I noticed when watching the Mizzou replay there is a shot of Pat Towels walking down the sideline after that touchdown to CJ Conrad. Boom walks by Towels and didn't shake his hand, Pat gave him a weird look. It's obvious this kid needs to grow up.
I think Boom will eventually work it out and get over it. If he doesn't, it will hurt this team to not have that explosiveness and talent Boom brings. That being said, this script is almost flipped from last season with JoJo getting frustrated with playing time. Not easy handling that many egos and I think you're seeing that. What a great problem to have I guess. We never ever had enough talent to have egos.
As far as Ryan goes, I'm sure he's just passing on info from his former sports colleagues. Don't blame him, this is the way things work. He did also say it was a chance and coaches were still meeting with Boom.

So did you see what may have happened before or after that short clip? How do you know Boom hadn't already offered a hand to Towles? Or maybe after the camera panned away? Or maybe he was pissed he wasn't involved in the play. Or maybe he was glad his team scored. Unless we see the whole sequence we don't know.
Ryan is annoying but I will say that a couple of his best friends are former UK football players who live in Lexington so those guys may know something...that being said...sounds as if Boom is just feeling sorry for himself...he'll snap out of it.
Boom is a great player, no doubt, and certainly one of the most explosive players in the SEC, but he is not in the top 3. Fournette, Chubb, Henry, Hurd are the top 4 backs, I could see Boom being next behind those guys.

Boom has removed his UK picture and cover photo from his Twitter profile as well. Situation is still in flux.

Not sure if Hurd belongs ahead of him or not...Hurd has 59 more yards than Williams on 39 more carries. Williams with 7.3 ypc vs Hurds 4.7...Hurd has hit the EZ much more though.

sadly, i agree...he is in communications and uses words out of context, sometimes even making up words...also, he talks like he's yelling in someone's face.
Ryan did exactly what a buffoon cohost is supposed to do..people started talking about the show and some tuned in/called in about it. Then at the end of the episode he backtracked and got made fun of by the rest of the staff for backing off.
Hurd isn't on Boom's level, might be top 10 but that's being kind to him. UGA has 3 backs I would rather have than Hurd. Too bad for him that Butch has him at RB, he would be an AA OLB.
Perhaps he should speak with Tiller and learn a thing or two about handling adversity with class. Being told no for the first time in your life can be tough.
I hear you Blue Diddy but you can't allow the inmates to run the jailhouse. If Boom did indeed cause Patrick to get blown up then he deserves to be punished. Also JoJo is like a streaky shooting guard. When he's hot get him in the game. Sounds like Boom has some growing up to do.
Boom is a very talented player but without JoJo we get beat by the ole ball coach last year and Missouri last Saturday. They both are going to play but if being listed as the starter is more important than playing then it's next man up as far as I am concerned. It's a team game.
It's sarcasm. Smh, football only fans...whatever that is. I since his code is so hard to decipher I'll break it for you...he's saying didn't another back lose his job, not sulk, then got his number called and came in a played and did really well. That was tough I know.

This is a ridiculous comment. What you are suggesting would DESTROY any program in any sport .
It'll be damn disappointing if he does not just pick it up and take care of business. The job is still his for the taking. I think he is the best athlete we have at the position. I am 100% on board with Jo Jo getting the start, and continuing to start as long as it suits the staff, but I fully expect Boom to win that job back this fall if he commits himself to doing so. Sure hope he is not getting his feelings hurt over being told he is no better than anyone else when it comes to being evaluated and earning his job every day.
However this situation turns outs , I have confidence in coach Stoops that his decision will be right. He didn't get where he is by letting the players do as they want. This is a team game. Stoops has not catered to anyone on team and it won't start now in my opinion.
I agree about Hurd not being that high. Boom is up there after the top 3 back in the SEC. Those guys are on another planet. After that the Boom, Michel group are up there with Arkansas' back. Then Hurd.
