The scientific community, comprised of worldwide epidemiologists who have spent their entire careers in the field, have been right, by far, for the most part. Faced with the knowledge, governmental officials around the globe have been challenged with many very difficult decisions to make. Obviously, some have fared better than others. Failures to be focused and determined, yet fluid and dynamic, in decision-making have been costly ... not a time to be stubborn.1. Many have been mostly right for several months.
2. Many have been mostly wrong consistently for several months, and fought the right ones every step of the way.
3. The wrong ones still try and move the goal posts or try and rewrite their roles in history. See how sensitive they get when you link to old threads. Watch them employ Whataboutism.
4. The costs of being on the wrong side has been immeasurable. Losing fall sports is insignificant compared to 150k dead Americans and a recession. The posters didn't cause those things, but they don't have the humility to say they were wrong.
5. So calling them out is fair is far as I'm concerned. They aren't bad people by any means, but at least a few are defensive and sensitive to being told they were consistently wrong. Humble thy selves.
