Bagley already officially CLEARED by NCAA

I'm pretty sure the NCAA will clear you for Duke even if you've never passed a class in highschool.

I am sure Pete Thamel will go to all 3 of his prior schools and investigate if his classes were legit. He does that for all kids not just Bledsoe right?
Unlike Bledsoe, MB3FIVE didn't take Algebra 3 before Algebra 2. Isn't it possible the kid and his family had been doing all the things to make this possible?

It's become a rigged system, anybody with a lick of sense and a brain can figure that out. The whole thing is an absolute joke.

If there's anything that would drive Cal to the NBA, it's blatant bias bullshit like this. Certain darling coaches and schools are playing under different set of rules than others. It's horseshit. IMO.

At least the last few years have shot down any thought that Duke and UNCheat do things the right way. Not a shred of difference between them and all other schools. Well, one big difference is the biggest academic scandal in history.

Getting cleared to play basketball at dUKe.....

Don't blame coach for holding out for bagley, the kid is a monster my opinion as good as Davis if not better. Coach will always hold out for the great ones.. As long as coach is here we will be find.
Welcome virgin poster. I must of missed your Im new here thread. It's great you could join. Love the handle. That's what the ladies call me on the weekend.

<----color me shocked
He was cleared in 8th grade and probably could of skipped highschool

Read the families and the kid's own quotes - they were saying they had no intention of reclassifying up until July, and that had to be because they felt he had too much ground to make up - no one (else) had even been recruiting him for 2017. So are we to believe he was lying to everyone? Somehow those concerns all miraculously got cleared up after a visit to Duke. Take a look at the core requirements. They wouldn't be easy to complete if you were already a half year or more behind because of the Hillcrest fiasco and spent most of the year traveling to play basketball anyway.

And I'm really, really glad you brought up Bledsoe. Bledsoe was a dirt poor kid who - unlike Bagley - went to a real public high school for four years. Also, unlike Bagley, Bledsoe wasn't pampered and coddled his entire high school career. He didn't even emerge as a major prospect until his senior year.

Bagley has been a high profile future superstar since his sophomore year, which landed his Dad a job at Hillcrest Prep. When Bledsoe was a sophomore, he and his Mom were homeless and living out of a f@cking car. Bledsoe is a great kid who worked incredibly hard to transform his family's life.

Instead of accolades though, the full wrath of ravening hordes of media sharks descended on him after he came to Kentucky, investigating and exposing such atrocities as the fact a prep coach may have paid his families rent so they wouldn't be homeless, or that a high school Algebra teacher let him complete extra work to raise a failing grade to a C to give him a chance to go to college and completely transform his life. How awful.

How many reporters are out there asking questions and trying to get a look at Bagley's transcript to answer the questions of how and when he earned those credits? My guess is zero. If you were a real Duke fan, out of respect for the academic reputation and integrity of the school, you should want to know.

Don't say a f@cking word about Bledsoe.

Reports out of Durham are that bagley retook the SAT on a whim and scored 1600.

Not sure how anyone can be upset with this because you knew it was a forgone conclusion. Duke is an NCAA darling. It's on you if you let that get under your skin. There are certainties in CBB and Coach K/Duke getting cakewalk seeding and preferential treatment will always be certain.

I like my team. They have a great team. Just ready for the season to start. They'll have all the pressure like last year when they shot their load in the ACC tourney before bouncing early.

Bledsoe's four-year transcript shows he made an A in Algebra 3 in night school as a senior by receiving a 90 during each of the two sessions. However, a grade report from those night sessions showed Bledsoe was recorded as making a C average, with a low C recorded in the first session and a low B recorded in the second.

By receiving an A in Algebra 3, Bledsoe barely qualified for initial eligibility in college, based on the standardized test score his former coach said Bledsoe made.

When Bledsoe's transcript was legitimately called into question, Rupps Rafters kept calling it a hit piece by Thamel, Forde, etc. Rupps Rafters swore there were no issues with Bledsoe.

Now that Bagley reclassifies....and the shoe is on the other foot....this board seems to be singing a different tune.

You're funny.
Look, your butt boy Kryshitski has sold his soul to the devil.
And, I don't ever want to hear about the superior academic bullshit at Duke.

Duke is Unlv with Tark.

What most of us were pissed with was how far the media was willing to go to try and get Bledsoe/Coach Cal. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, bet the media doesn't give a second look at a Duke guy.

But, glad to see some of you have come down off the high horse. I used to hear from the guys on the MB that Duke had higher standards for athletes above most other programs. That, of course, was false then and now.

Wanna know how much favoritism duke gets?

Noone is surprised. Literally noone. Even though the kid decided to reclass 2 months ago.

It was assumed soon as he reclassed hed go to duke. Only chance he had at qualifying. This even though many of his credits were from school under heightened scrutiny by the ncaa.

What's funny is all of the Bagley outrage is truly "faux" outrage because nobody has any legitimate reason to call this shady other than "He only decided to reclassify a few months ago! Therefore this is shady!" lol

Faux outrage? [roll] Dang son, if you think that is the proper use of that term and went to Duke, that is proof positive the standards there are shit.

Let me guess, the greatest academic/amateurism question mark of the entire class----Duval----will be cleared within minutes for Duke as well. I'm not a conspiracy theorist in the least----but the NCAA, selection committees, referees---since Cal has been at UK are sure making me feel as though I have a tin foil hat on.

Did you really just refer to him as "MB3FIVE"??

What a clown.

[laughing]

Is that a new robot?

R2D2 and Johnny 5 called.

Seriously, are you 12 years old?

You people have heard of twitter, right?

Not what it says here.

From the article:

"If you're curious as to how someone could decide to reclassify and make up a year's worth of schoolwork over the course of a 3-4 months, Bagley's father has spoken publicly on a couple of occasions about how his son's path was always going to track this way. The endgame was getting Bagley eligible for the 2018 Draft, college eligibility be damned. But because Duke was in early when it came to recruiting Bagley as a 2017 prospect, the family and Duke worked carefully and quickly in order to get Bagley's coursework finished."

I know that doesn't fit your narrative, but . . .

I just wonder what BBN would be saying had Bagley committed to UK. Perhaps, just perhaps, the kid did the work and his family kept him focused and organized. Regardless, there has not been anything close to the Bledsoe situation and the changing of grades - which is what led to Thamel digging into what has transpired.

^Full of shit, take your Dookie BS elsewhere. Nobody is in the mood for it on here.

Oh..."the family AND DUKE worked carefully and quickly". Lol, there it is right there, you mo-****ing-ron
