Really odd when you throw the javon baker tie in and UK revoking his offer.I'm not sure this is about money either. This situation is just odd.

Are we even certain this is an NCAA issue? I dont think it is.
Yeah, I can't figure this out from our clues. If it's an NIL issue, then it's likely an NCAA issue.
If it's a criminal issue, that sucks for C-Rod, but that also doesn't mean he can't play for the Kentucky Wildcats.
The only thing that would jeopardize the school would be some sort of NCAA penalty.
Nice Flo and Eddie reference.Jarmon didn't buy a PED. He bought an over the counter diet pill to lose weight, which MIGHT be used to cover up using PEDs, which was self reported by UK, so one of our players most involved in community projects, etc was labeled as a criminal and kicked off the team. It didn't hurt him that much, he was a very high pick in the supplemental draft. But it certainly hurt UK and it might have hurt his pro career.
Same AD, you expect something different here? Nothing illegal, immoral, or fattening about a diet pill, but remember the old saying, guilty until proven innocent. As it concerns UK football.
I just went back and read a few old articles about the situation. He took a dietary supplement without running it by UK and it had a banned substance in it. He failed a drug test something like 4 days after UK found out he was taking the supplement and was told by UK to stop taking the supplement. The NCAA penalty was a 1 year suspension for the banned substance and the failed test. UK appealed the suspension and the NCAA denied the appeal. That's pretty much how I remembered it.

He got kicked off the team? You don't kick him off the team if it isn't something really bad.
It is sounding more like CROd and Baker somehow got some under the table money that dind't pay taxes upon...which gets them caught not just in college/NIL rules but also federal tax back payments.
I get it...but if this is true...it's crap as well. Are we really going to argue Bryce Young did $2M worth of value to get his NIL? Maybe the difference is setting it up correctly and paying your taxes on revenue, etc... but it's still paying players to play on your school football program is all this new world is really about. Does feel as a UK fan the big fish dont have to play to the same rules as the rest of us to a degree.
If media members are so sure of the outcome to be telling their audiences that CRod won't play at UK again, then whatever investigation must be almost concluded. and the outcome is certain so should be announced very soon.
Or maybe there will be no announcement whatsoever. Other than Chris Rodriguez leaving UK and entering name in NFL supplemental draft in a few weeks. Whatever "it" is won't be revealed to try and protect him.
Yeah there are all kinds of rumors. Gambling, drugs, mafia hitman, all sorts. I think the most likely scenario is the one around NIL. More of the knowledgeable people seem to be pushing that one. Plus it's something we all knew would happen once NIL was unleashed in a uncontrolled manner. These kids are entering into contracts with little support or advice. You see this thing happening to rock stars all the time. They have little idea about who they are entering into contracts with.Gambling rumors are flying with c-rod....
Can it fit in a Wordle?Hummm. What 2 letters does it start with?
Yeah, Barry Sanders would have left an untouchable rushing mark on that Cowboy team. Smith would not be near the top of the rushing record book had he played for the Lions.I could have run behind that Dallas OL and gained yards.
Benny made the NFL. Boom did not. You can say Boom was more like Sanders than he was like Smith, but comparing Boom to Sanders is unjust to Boom and an insult to Barry. So UK has Benny Snell and Boom Williams at RB...very similar on our standard to Emmitt vs. Barry. Who you got if you had to showcase one or the other? Both ran behind same OLine.
There’s some pretty knowledgeable people on private UK football Facebook groups ...several say it has a gambling angle . That could mean taking $ from someone associated with gambling , which has a bad look and isn’t even allowed in the pros . Who knows
I don’t think he’s being accused of throwing games , but you can’t be associated with it . Like MGM can’t use players , etc. Fumbling would cost him an NFL career ...he’d find a better way , anyway 😁Well, that’s something I never thought of…
How many times did CRod fumble near the goal line???!!

Isn’t all of Deon Sanders NIL money being provided to his players from a gambling site? There’s some pretty knowledgeable people on private UK football Facebook groups ...several say it has a gambling angle . Thanks for passing along. Is your understanding that they’re just trying to figure out if there’s a path back to eligibility?Late last week, I thought I had decent info from a guy that told me it was PED's and posted it here. My bad. Bad info.
I was told today by a very credible person that it is in reference to a job that CR had that violated NCAA regulations. Nothing illegal, just a NCAA infraction.
If that's the case, UK needs to double bird the NCAA and play the kid.Late last week, I thought I had decent info from a guy that told me it was PED's and posted it here. My bad. Bad info.

New plot twist: gambling addictionthe next time someone argues with me that sports aren’t just another form of soap opera I’m going to show them the twists and turns this thread takes.
it was told to me that the NCAA will find him ineligible... kinda like the old jobs where a player works at a horse farm but doesn't work. although it wasn't a horse farm. Thanks for passing along. Is your understanding that they’re just trying to figure out if there’s a path back to eligibility?
I heard the same last week.Late last week, I thought I had decent info from a guy that told me it was PED's and posted it here. My bad. Bad info.

Yeah, but it's a Nick Roush special with exactly no new info and even less insight. I felt dumber after reading it.KSR egghead saying he doesn’t think he’s done for the year and is guessing it’s a four game suspension. So potentially some hope here
I think this is Roush’s inelegant way of saying Marrow (or family member) told me to get this out but without any retribution please and thank you.Yeah, but it's a Nick Roush special with exactly no new info and even less insight. I felt dumber after reading it.
Do you know how many UT players were suspended by the NCAA for actual cash payments they received for doing absolutely nothing but playing football at UT???it was told to me that the NCAA will find him ineligible... kinda like the old jobs where a player works at a horse farm but doesn't work. although it wasn't a horse farm.
Well if the new ahole that created an account last month saw it on Facebook...I saw it on some Facebook UK football groups ...
