Bad C-rod news ...potentially

Read this whole thread. From what I’m reading, is it safe to assume Crod was working as a blackjack dealer at a through the mail casino that pays out winnings in the form of peds and he forgot to file his taxes?

If it is a simple matter of him working but not being registered under NIL with the University/NCAA.....then just (1) complete his registration, (2) annotate "late entry," (3) put the school "stamp" & signature on the archived documents, (4) file them away, and (5) tell the NCAA "nothing to see here" and to GTFO.

UKAD needs to buck up like he owns the joint, stare down the anemic NCAA, and stand by his coaches and players.

GBB!

Whilst carrying a concealed deadly weapon, interfering with the migration of an indigenous species, and failing to mitigate a drought affecting wetlands.

If he plays, again, Donald Duck will be peeosst!

Which is exactly why they should have stfu about it from the start until it was all known. If it was all known, then why not say? Fkn tired of people startin sht that hurts the team and players well before they know exactly what's up and have official word on the outcome.
Much like last year when folks wanted like 5 or 6 guys kicked off team over trumped up charges. Need to be like Dragnet and just deal with the facts.

Iirc the NCAA doesn't require any registration or pre-approval. That's all a UK compliance issue. They, with the "help" of the executive order, created all kinds of guidelines student athletes must comply. Part of that was any nil opportunity must be submitted to the UK AOC for approval and can take at least 7 days for review.

Looking at everything, it seems we're back to the beginning. Crod had a job that apparently the school thought paid him more than the market rate. So they labeled it an nil deal and found him out of compliance with the school requirement.

If it was any company related at all to gambling or alcohol, it is not allowed at UK.

Sounds like we're getting closer to finding out what happened and it sounds more and more like it was a school issue and was totally avoidable on their end.

Tell me out of our last 15 backs one that didn't fumble
I remember Little having to sit out some plays after each of the three times he lost the ball on our first play of a series when we are about to beat USC on the road. But he only sat out because we didn't have the ball any more and he only played on offense, LOL.

Are you saying it is up to our athletic department?

Hell, he might get him banned from playing in the pros.

If we want to continue to grow and build on what Stoops has built, as well as keep Mark Stoops here, you would think our administration would do whatever it takes to support him and his team.

I’d imagine that bs has already hurt us in recruiting. When Team A can basically hand a player a check, Team B makes you jump through hoops the NCAA doesn’t even require.

Bingo....all you have to do is read Mitch's own words...he's holding UK back a ton in NIL.

It's pretty simple, it is no longer against a rule to outright pay a player. He needs to get on board with the new rules or leave if his morality can't handle the new world.

“I think sometimes there have been frustrations of our coaches who want us to move a little quicker,” Barnhart told Finebaum. “We’ve been cautious. We’ve tried to be steady in choppy waters.

“Take a breath every time you want to react. I’ve encouraged our staff to do that… That’s hard to do in today’s landscape because everything says go faster; get there first; make a quick decision. We have to think about the long-term pieces for what’s good for college athletics.”

He needs to do what's best for UK athletics and move quickly. I get so tired of this guy.

Do you know how many UT players were suspended by the NCAA for actual cash payments they received for doing absolutely nothing but playing football at UT???

Zero. Nada. None.

If the NCAA suspends CRod for taking more money for work than they think he should have been paid, I would like to be CRod's lawyer.

If I were CRod I would go hard at NCAA and whomever reported it to the NCAA. If that is UK compliance, then so be it. The double standard BS in the SEC needs to stop.

If UT can pay a FUTURE QB prospect $8M for NIL, no way CRod should be suspended for this.
UK’s going to report it to the NCAA Tennessee is going to give 🖕🏻🖕🏻 to the NCAAA.

That mfer…

As the AD of Kentucky, NO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO THINK ABOUT “LONG TERM PIECES FOR WHATS GOOD FOR COLLEGE ATHLETICS”….whatever that means.

Who does this clown work for? Mark Emmert sucks, I think he might have quit anyway…Can we please get Mitch hired at the NCAA. That self righteous prick is unbelievable. Cant believe he said that crap live on Finebaum.

Yeah but the NCAA grows beer muscles when it comes to Fing UK.
They play over their heads.

You may be right but that isn’t how I remember it. I thought be bought an over the counter supplement of some kind and the supplement had a banned ingredient in it. I remember someone at the press conference saying we tell players not to take any over the counter supplement until we can determine if it contains any banned substance that will cause a failed test. JJ did not take the supplement to UK before taking it and he failed a test. That is my recollection of the events, but it could certainly be flawed. It’s been a while.
I think you all are saying the same thing?

Not going to comment on the CRod thing, but Mitch is absolutely hurting UK (badly) when it comes to NIL. Just listen (closely) to what Stoops and Cal are saying.
Then he needs to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with the school prez.
