All-Time NBA Draft Winner GoBigBlueFanGA

To round out my starting lineup, give me a versatile hall of famer that Larry Bird said was his toughest matchup. I’ll take James Worthy. @RunninRichie OTC

Quickest first step in NBA history. Blink & Big Game James is going by you & dunking on you. He was a nightmare matchup for everybody. With those long arms & long strides he covered a lot of ground very quickly. Maybe he’s not underrated but it feels like he is to me. Either way, he was downright dominant & would’ve averaged like 25+ if he didn’t play on such loaded teams.

I was ecstatic to round out my lineup with him. There was a 2G that I gave serious consideration to, and am still surprised is available. You could say that about a handful of guys, though.

I’ve been to “The Rail” many, many times. I actually pass it on my way to and from work every work day. It is still a rough place.

We used to go to The Wild Dawg, The Drink, Empire, Stoned Monkey, etc. Stoned Monkey had a wet t shirt contest every Wednesday night. Oddly enough, my ex (daughter’s Mom) won it one night, before I got with her.

She’s got a killer rack, too, but I think the current wife has an even nicer set. 😆 She’s miles ahead of her in every other category as well. The absolute perfect wife. I couldn’t have asked for a better one.

Used to get into brawls up there and all kinds of crazy shit. I could spin stories about Huntington for days. It’s a wonder we are all still alive as well. 🥳

The Wild Dog used to be Robbie’s & The Stoned Monkey was another place I went to but Icr what it was called. Maybe Yancey’s. I saw David Allan Coe at the WD a few years ago, lol. I think that’s the only time I’ve been since the name change. I haven’t been up there for that since the early-mid 90s though & they’ve all had at least a cpl name changes since then so I have no clue. Still go shoot pool there occasionally. But, that place is like little Detroit now & even worse than when we were partying there.

Yeah it’s much different now. We were running around up there between 1999 and 2003 or so. Hard to believe it’s been that many years ago. Goodness.

That’s the only thing I don’t like about it. My work schedule is extremely conflicting. My work hours are the exact hours of the draft dead period.

I’m usually asleep when my pick comes around. It’s happened several times in these drafts. Makes it quite difficult sometimes.

That's understandable. And my bad on the long reply, a needy puppy came calling and then I dozed off.

Luka Dončić

Was just starting to think about him. Nice pick.

James Worthy

This would have been one of my picks coming up at my turn. So I've been sniped again. I didn't think Worthy would make it back to me, but it hurts a bit less when I was dozed off and also didn't happen the very pick before mine if that makes any sense lol

can’t believe nobody took dantley

Dantley was on my short list after Big Game James.

Detroit did AD dirty IMO & he’s still bitter about it, I imagine. I remember when they made that trade, Dantley for a similar scorer & a lot of his Pistons teammates were pissed. He was considered a great teammate & the other guy, not so much. It worked for them in the end but it sucks for Dantley bc he missed out on the championships after being an integral part of their reaching that level. But, he could flat out fill it up & put up points in a hurry. I always enjoyed watching him play.

Alex, I'll take "Who was the NBA's leading scorer from 1980-1989 for 1000".

Who is Alex English.

Now, this is the definition of “underrated, forgotten star”. GREAT scorer & he even starred in a movie, lol (Amazing Grace & Chuck). He was almost automatic inside 15-17 ft. Denver wasn’t a great team back then but they were very fun to watch.

Like Alex English, he was lethal in the mid range. If he got it on the block it was over. 3 point percentages from that era are kind of misleading bc it just wasn’t a big part of the game back then & even the best shooters were only taking 2-3 threes/game. So, a lot of great shooters didn’t have super high percentages from 3 bc they just weren’t shooting enough of them to even it out & they put little importance on it. I know that doesn’t pertain to AD bc that wasn’t his game. But, I think he could’ve been solid from 3 if he had made it a priority. There was just no need.

And with the 61st pick, first pick of Round 6, I will take a page out of the jrpross playbook and select my head coach. He was the head coach of two of my players. Mr. Red Auerbach

Had to take my dog for a walk, that's why I stepped out. Back to @BigBlueFanGA

I might regret going for a head coach before another player, but I couldn't imagine anyone else coaching Russell and Hondo and didn't want to risk him possibly being taken in the next two rounds worth of picks. Plus Hakeem and Clyde Frazier would be great fits with Coach Auerbach.
