It may be complex, and NO DOUBT he teaches actual sets and whatnot, but one thinks of "points scored" when talking about offensive juggernauts, not "plays run". And yes, he's a fine coach.

Not that Hurley doesn’t deserve credit but Tristen Newton has been huge for that program. Not only has he been good but he got him to run the show back to back years. I also really like Karaban who has been a constant both years as well.

I’m curious to see what UConn looks like when this core is gone.

Tubby Smith teams were generally good in offensive efficiency. Analytics like ppp. Fans don’t.

So enjoy the flavor of the month. He is as likely to bounce by the 16 as history indicates, rather than making an improbable run like last year woth a flawed team, like other unworthy UConn championship teams.

Crazy enough UConn has won more titles with shit teams than some of their really really good ones.

He's coached in only five tournaments, two at Rhode Island, and won a title. There's not enough history with him to say history indicates anything. Last year was the first year he had a legit team and won it all. At Rhoda Island he lost to a 2 seed Duke and almost beat a 3 seed Oregon that made the Final Four. To act like he has some long history of losing early in the tournament is ridiculous.

The difference is they rebound their misses and we do not.

They are basically us on offense if we still had Oscar gobbling up boards
