This is from a national writer with no connection to UL. The article speculates that UL is working with a $20 million annual NIL budget for Football and Men’s Bball. No idea if accurate or not, but it sounds like their NIL game is firing on all cylinders from a leadership standpoint. Would love to know how this compares to what’s happening in Lex.

Ownership has started dismantling the '21 team, and I'm OK with the Barnhart/Miley moves but sure would be nice if they could get something for them. They need to do whatever it takes to keep Nick C but looks like he's gone too. Saw on mlb.com list of 17 top FAs available and prediction where they'll sign...not a one with the Reds. 2022 not looking promising.

How terrible is the Calgary Dinos and who are the delusional idiots saying their better than the 84' Lakers? We also have good Bahamas trips, but hopefully they find out it doesn't mean anything.

I can think of four that have been incredible.

1. Eddie Sutton, 1985-86. We went 32-4 and may have won it all if NCAA hadn't made us beat Alabama AND LSU four times.

2. Rick Pitino, 1989-90. We were only 14-14, but Pitino's Bombinos set the tone for the Pitino Era. After a 121-110 win over us in Freedom Hall, Dean Smith of UNC said he started getting scared when we were giving up twos on one end just to rush down and hit threes on the other.

3. Tubby Smith, 1997-98. We went 35-4 and finished it off with three amazing comeback wins over Duke, Arizona and Utah.

4. John Calipari, 2009-10. I believe we were 35-3. John Wall, Darcus Cousins and Co. were rock stars. Another team screwed by poor seeding in the tournament. Still should have beat WV, though.

Has anyone heard anything about him in regards to expectations for this year?

After watching video breakdown from outsiders, reviewing videos of transfers and reevaluating the growth of returning players I am going with a confident prediction of 10-2.

1. Hamdan will call the plays to fit with what the QB room is going to afford him. I feel that both BVG and Wimsatt are going to flourish and have outstanding years. I feel we are going to finally have a QB situation that we are going to have so many options that it will be hard for defenses to break it down. I have a feeling we see a 3 QB set with both BVG and Wimsatt on the field together that will give fits.
2. Trayanum is going to be the next 1000 yard rusher, but I also believe that one of that we get 600+ from the FR(+RS) group. I look for our offense to have 2000 yards rushing which would give the QB the right amount of sell for play-action.
3. The defense is elite and the emergence of Waller, Story and Adkins is going to solidify the secondary that will give the 3rd down defense a better go. I feel that Collins promotion to co-D coordinator will give more aggressiveness.
4. ST is going to be completely complimentary to give more confidence in that squad. I feel a few points will come from them.
5. I feel that the schedule is going to play to UK advantage with having "breaks" in the schedule unlike past years. There is no "murderer's row" as in years past. The hardest stretch is @UF, AUB, @UT. I don't see the emotional and physical drudge like before.

I am thinking that folks are using trends to predict and I think it breaks the trends and I am going with Walker's confidence. 10-2. I feel it.

Misty Roberts Clanton, who resigned as DeRidder mayor last week, is accused of having sex with a juvenile.

Roberts was arrested by Louisiana State Police Thursday morning on counts of third-degree rape and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office jail roster shows Roberts, 42, was arrested at 10:13 a.m. and released at 11:30 a.m. on $75,000 bond.

Sgt. Ross Brennan, a state police spokesman, said the alleged juvenile victim and another juvenile confirmed to state police’s Special Victims Unit that Roberts had sex with the juvenile.

Will hold open tryouts at the Joe Craft Center from 630-800 for walk on spots.

We lose a lot after this season but with CMP’s ability to use the transfer portal how many true freshmen do you envision he signs? He’s offered quite few.

He also recruits to a system so that factors in replacing guys. He will want experience in some spots.

Also I think once his 24-25 team gets to showcase his style and along with the excitement that BBN will exhibit I think his phone will be ringing off the hook post season with potential transfers.

How the hell do we get this to UK? Chills ran up and down my spine. Based on how they’ve handled intro/atmosphere stuff before I’m sure they’d never do it as good as this.
