Interesting foul call in MIss St -UNLV game

Hubbard makes a 3, and lands on a defenders foot rolling his ankle. So they called a foul, giving a chance for a 4-pt play.
But.,.in the replay he lands 18” to 2ft in front of where he went up from ( he jump from behind the NBA line and landed in front of the college line).
IMO, they gave him room to land. No he didn’t kick his feet out like some punks do, I don’t see how he landed so far in front of the line, it wasn’t a fast break 3, he was actually curling from the right, so if anything you would have expected a little drift to his left, not forward.

State of 2026 Recruiting

I don't necessarily believe UK's coaches are getting close yet to getting the first commitment in their 2026 class. But they have already given out a bunch of 2026 scholarship offers (see below), and we are getting into the early part of a time frame when the first 2026 commitment could happen. In any case, there are a lot of legitimate 2026 prospects for us to discuss on a new thread.

Here is a list of 2026 prospects known based on public information to have received UK offers. This is surely not a complete list. It is way too early to know where any of these players will end up. Just starting the conversation here.

My favorite play of the night wouldn’t have happened the last few years

Robinson gets a rebound up 2 in OT….

Last year Cal would have had had his hands up screaming for our PG to slow it down and take his time getting the ball up the court.

This year: Beautiful full court pass to Amari for the layup.

So many other things that Pope did tonight that won the game for us. Glad to have him.

Oh no it’s happening again.

After the Wisconsin loss I was a sour pus for a month . I promised myself I would never ever never get emotionally attached to another UK team. God I loved that team .

Now it’s happening again . How can you not love these guys, coach Pope and his assistants .

Setting myself up for a huge disappointment. I know it’s ONLY ENTERTAINMENT. But frankly it is kind of like religion.
Love it .

Go Cats !

A thought on tonight

There were a lot of people being very negative at halftime. I'm not talking about the losers who were attacking our coach and players, and declaring the death of UK basketball.
I'm talking about the folks who saw that first half and felt resigned to another loss - I know I was one. After the game I thought about it and it's not our fault. We have gotten so used to Cal and his lack of in-game adjustments that we expected the 2nd half to be an extension of the 1st. The last 15 years have conditioned us to expect zero coaching creativity, zero motivation of players, ZERO in-game adjustments.
man, how awesome it is to once again have a coach who COACHES. Thank you, CMP.

Think about this for a minute…

Last year Gonzaga beat us on our HOME floor when we had 3 nba draft picks on the team. If you count Thiero and maybe Wagner that bumps that number to 5 possibly. This year they had the exact same team almost and Mark Pope beats them with less than half of the nba talent and his starting point guard out for the game. Feb 1st can’t get here soon enough!!!!
