After playing in the first three games, Stoops said he needed to add weight/strength to reach his potential. Long video of his shot makes. Dude’s an obvious shot creator, can make tough finishes around the rim with either hand. He’s crafty but has the ball on a string. Very much quick twitch and bouncy for 6’3”ish maybe 175 right now.

So… offensively, I got no concerns. My question for @David Sisk and @Travis Graf is how do ya think his natural talent and footwork/skills helps him stay on the court defensively as a freshman? Because offensively it don’t take a trained monkey to see he’s elite.

IMO, Jaxson Robinson is not playing the caliber of basketball that we all expected. I did not see any of his previous games at BYU but I supported the fanbase on how special he supposed to be. Folks, I'm not seeing anything special about Jaxson play. Yeah a few flashes of some decent basketball but overall underwhelming performances from my perspective. It seems that he is simply going through the motion and not playing with a high-level of energy or enthusiasm that is expected of him. Maybe, I'm the only one that feels this way but I've been quite disappointed in his overall play.

I believe he has the ability to lead but someone needs to light a fire under his ass! Jaxson we need you to STEP-UP and rev that motor up. This criticism from me is done with love because I see the talent but we need you to unleash that talent every game. You are on the biggest stage of your playing career and everyone is watching. I'm rooting for you kid but us fans are expecting more. No more of this lackadaisical ish going into 2025.

When I was asked that question, I answered that we lacked a go to guy ? A guy that can get you a basket at anytime. Although I think this is true a basketball coach for many years told me the missing ingredient here is team speed ! He said the inability to stay in front of players is our number one problem. For players that know they don't have a NBA chance, or for those without a good work ethic... Is getting paid up front causing players to coast, and not play as hard, all the time.

Is NIL causing coach's to play highly paid NIL players even when they are not producing, in fear of losing that NIL money for the next year.

Solutions to this? Structure NIL with incentives... A base pay, that rewards the player for x amount of games won. Reach sec champ is a bonus. Sweet 16...bonus....ect. I don't think you can add personal achievements like, lead team in scoring.... Ect, because that would cause players to become ball hogs.

Just seems, like we have seen alot of less then engaged play, since NIL became a thing. Not just at UK either... But across the board, in basketball and football.

...you just never know when you may lose someone. We lost my sister-in-law on Thursday and had her funeral yesterday. She was a beautiful, young and vibrant 63 year-old who had a massive heart attack. I still can't wrap my head around it. It doesn't seem real. So we have postponed our Christmas until at least late January or February. We always have the family Christmas at our house, and my wife says we will keep the decorations up until the family is ready to celebrate, even if it's in June!

Don't take for granted your family members during this Christmas season. Visit and call people often. I always find it interesting that we will sacrifice our time and energy to visit the funeral home when a friend or loved one dies. Why don't we sacrifice that same time and energy while our friend or loved one is still alive? Don't create regrets!

Just read where Pope stayed in the stands greeting UK fans who made the trip, taking pics, giving out hugs and high fives. We would not see our former coach doing this. Love Pope and he is going to be great for UK and the BBN.
