Acaden Lewis Dad just became my all time favorite player parent

Imagine if every player and parent embraced this attitude… BBN is legitimately insane but it comes from a place of love and passion. I think if you take this attitude rather than letting the noise get to you, it can only help with the pressure and expectations.

Are we back to recruiting a team rather than just

....players? I sure hope so, even though it's much more difficult.

I wasn't sure if last year was a fluke, since Pope came in so late, and because we seemed to recruit as importantly to a team fit and not just rankings or talent. I hope it's not a completely obsolete method, but it may prove to be with pay-for-play.

If we get Alvaro & Wilkerson

We’re the best team in the nation next year. And possibly one of the deepest.

UPDATE: Even without Alvaro and only Wilkerson I see us as a top 5 team to start the season.

Look, I get the Acaden worry but it’ll also be addressed. If Pope could make it thru last season losing his top 2 PG’s then I feel more than confident he’ll figure this dilemma out. Just a bump in the road.

Big picture, we are gonna be hard as hell to match up with next year.

Cheers!

If we could go back to last year's HS recruiting

we probably would’ve just focused on recruiting Moreno and Jasper from high school, and done everything possible to keep JQ.

Also, if we had put all the energy we spent chasing Caleb Wilson into going after Baylor signee Tounde Yessoufou instead, maybe things would’ve turned out differently. I honestly think Tounde would be more gettable and will be a better college player than Caleb.

The recruitment of Caleb Wilson, and his close buddy Acaden Lewis, turned out to be a complete disaster for us.

Florida is the Class of the SEC this Century

Sorry to say it, but it’s an indictment on what we have allowed.

Three Championships
Four Final Game Appearances
Five Final Fours (7-2 in such games)
Nine Elite Eights
13-3 against top three seeds
Won the best conference ever

Not going to stop, especially with NIL.
It’s not a coincidence why traditional football powers are doing well in basketball. Kentucky is looking up at the Gators now. Sad state of affairs.

Louisville Fans Thoughts on the SEC

For Laughs...I know that the SEC will fear the school that's racking up wins over Wake Forest, Virginia, Georgia Tech, and Boston College. It will be the easiest jump in history for them. Lane Kiffin fears Louisville!

Some quotes...

Well I think Louisville would compete very well amongst the SEC, and recruiting would be somewhat easier than what we see today IMO due to conference.

Now like already mentioned if they go with 4 teams I doubt Louisville receives a call. But if the SEC and the BigTen decide to build a mega super conference of 24 teams then yes.

Your dam straight it would make us better just due to attendance alone. The SEC fan bases travel pretty dam good, and we our in the footprint of the conference. Every FB game would be sold out, and we would be on TV every week playing the best competition out there. Now are we going to be like Alabama and Georgia no, but we can and will be better than Ole Miss and Auburn and the likes.

We would be better than Ole Miss and Auburn, yes, but the SEC only gets 3-4 teams in most years and are we going to consistently be in that top 3-4 conversation? I mean Alabama and Georgia are going nowhere, Texas is probably here to stay in the NIL era, Oklahoma will never be as bad as they were last year again, and then you have LSU, Tennessee, and Texas A&M who are usually pretty damn good

UofL fans shouldn't be afraid of any conference. To be the best, you have to play the best. The SEC and Big 10 would be in for the fight of their lives when the disrespected and over achieving Cards are the opponent. Bring 'em on, we bow to no one.

Watch -- Quaintence assigned to guard the PG

I started watching the replay of the Arizona St v Kansas St game from 2/23/25, it's the game where he tore his ACL an I haven't been able to find the injury clipped anywhere so I wanted to see if I could find when it happened. But watch the first minute of the game and see who they match JQ up with right out of the gate:

They have him on the PG! I've bought the hype on JQ already but that got me the most excited yet. I assume the goal was to gum up the offense at the point of attack, but also the KState PG Dug McDaniel shot 25% from three this season. So I think JQ's assignment was to basically float around and help out on defense whenever he could. Watch KState's second offensive possession (after JQ assists a basket on the other end). KState PG #0 rotates around to the perimeter and JQ stays back in the paint to ward off a drive from the opposite corner. KState misses the jumper. Keep watching and you'll see him all over the court on defense.

If you're curious about the injury, it happens at roughly the 5 min mark of the second half (start at 53:51 in the video, btw it's not gruesome). The ball gets knocked into backcourt, he chases it down and then drives all the way to the basket where he either plants weird or gets bumped and lands awkwardly. He's in pain but not like you sometimes see after those bad knee injuries. They cut to commercial so you don’t see him get up, but it looks like he stayed on the bench the rest of the game. That seems to line up with his father saying it was a partial tear, and more reason for optimism he'll make a full recovery and maybe even be ready by September.

Britney Griner - What is your Opinion?

What was she thinking? If you are going to visit other countries you better be aware of their laws. To make matters worse she is a Lesbian and most Americans know that Russia doesn't have the same LGBT laws. People are executed for being gay in Russia. No doubt she is being targeted because she is a gay female american athlete.

Forbes released a report she might be part of a Prisoner Swap. Does she get any priority over U.S. Marine Mickey Bergman? Maybe she will be packaged up with Bergman in exchange for the Russian Arms Dealer the U.S. has in prison.

Given the War in Ukraine she might be in a Russian prison for a while.
