Also, if we had put all the energy we spent chasing Caleb Wilson into going after Baylor signee Tounde Yessoufou instead, maybe things would’ve turned out differently. I honestly think Tounde would be more gettable and will be a better college player than Caleb.

I’m hoping it plays out that way, with Johnson playing big minutes this season as our backup guard, having an outstanding season before going pro. Then Kinney takes his spot the next season.

Honestly, if you have more than two freshmen on a team these days, they should be guys like Perry and Noah who understand they are looking to contribute when they are juniors, not guys who fully expect to not only start, but have teams revolve around them.

The idea of recruiting four or five Top 25 players to be starters or key reserves, and A. Trying to hold them and B. Competing with teams full of top transfers, is so 2021...

In the case of Acaden Lewis, he eighs about 165 pounds, and looks positively frail after watching the guards in the rounds from the Elite Eight on. I have no doubt he's a talented player. He'll probably contribute somewhere this year. But I don't see him being a starting point guard for a program trying to crash the Final Four. He might be that NEXT YEAR. WHo knows where he'll be playing. Maybe not for whoever signs him this year.

He might be mark sears good in year 3 or year 4, we love him because his long term potential

But it is not very likely he will be good enough to be pg1 for even s16/e8 teams in year 1

I don't want anything to happen to him because I think he's a terrible coach and that's perfect for what I want for UNC. However, what if he has some sort of Matthew Mitchell-like incident and needs to step down tomorrow? Would Caleb open up his recruitment?

What I want to say is Wilson camp just mislead Pope to raise money... Wilson camp knows wilson is unc bound and just uses UK (probably gives UK wrong positive hints) for raising money or some other intention. And Pope thought he got real chance for Wilson, and then abandoned all other frontcourt options

Most programs that make a run have an impactful talented freshman. That’s the only place where you’re going to find elite nba prospects to play the college game. It helps to put a guy it two in every year. Legit guys
