He didn't even know it was 4th down

Wimsatt gets a decent chunk and strolls out of bounds....nice run. EXCEPT it's 4th down 😂😂😂

How does nobody tell him that? They've got comms. 'hey just a reminder it's 4th we gotta get the first here'

Continuing to display our overall incompetence as a program and as coaches specifically. There are a few posters here that could run the program better than it's currently being run.

MJ-Don't Like What I'm Hearing/Vibes are Really Bad

He said this on his regular show, Fade This and now the basketball postgame. He really must be hearing negative things and says he can't see UK winning today because of them. He also said by the time next weekend rolls around the program is going to look very different, but that Stoops appears more determined than ever to stay.

Basketball INSTANT ANALYSIS: Relentless UK pulls away from Georgia State

Let's keep in mind most of these early season games aren't great simulations for conference play and the tournament but when you stack them all together some trends definitely emerge.

Scoring balance was insane tonight. Almost eight guys in double figures. But when you watched the game, who thought they were getting to 105 points? They are just lethal on that side of the court to this point in the season and you can't key in on any one, two or three guys. So many guys who can hurt you, and they can hurt you so many ways - forcing turnovers and pushing the tempo fast, great execution, outside shooting, etc. Experience and balance are tough to defeat.

Georgia State looked like they were about to be run out of the gym with a late first half UK run but they were hot out of the gate after intermission and knocked down some threes while UK was cold.

The Cats built that first half lead due to 20 points off turnovers but they were somewhat lackadaisical for a while instead of driving the nail in the coffin.

Then the floodgates opened and you have nearly a 30-point win. I'm of the opinion this is one of the better teams in college basketball legitimately to this point in the year, definitely better than I assumed they would be, and opposing coaches will be ripping their hair out trying to gameplan how to slow them down on the offensive end of the court.

Good Rupp atmosphere for a Friday night game over Thanksgiving, can tell the fan base is dialed into this team.

Football Recruit Visit List

I took a minute to look the rivals websites for all of the SEC teams hosting a home game this weekend. It’s amazing to see what a huge recruiting weekend it is for literally every team in the conference hosting a home game. SEC teams are going all out to flip 2025s and hosting many of their top 2026 targets this weekend.

However, when you look at what’s happening in Lexington this weekend from a recruiting standpoint, it’s the polar opposite. We have a 5.5 3-star officially visiting. Not a peep about anyone else. It’s as if they aren’t even trying at this point. What else do you need to see to comprehend that this staff is mostly checked out at this point?

If I were Barnhart, THIS would be the sign that the Stoops Era is effectively over. Yeah, he’s gonna come back next year to collect his check, but these guys are done and they’re not even trying to hide it at this point.

Koby Brea

I'm one of those guys who likes to do player comparisons. I may be way off, but does Brea remind anyone else of Danny Green? I don't remember much about Green from his UNC days, but I know he was a very good 3 point shooter in his NBA career. Actually played for a couple of NBA championship teams with the role as a knockdown shooter.

These are the OL recruits from the past

That should of been the building blocks of today's line.

And remember the line has sucked for 3 seasons in a row.
Yenser had 2 of those seasons and Wolf 1 on his second stint as OL coach. His first season they were amongst the best in the country at run blocking and much improved at pass blocking from the previous year.
The seasons prior to Wolf's 1st season the line was coached by Schlarman. Those lines were not very good at all at pass blocking but we're very good at run blocking after we dedication our offensive approach to going that route. I'd also like to give acknowledgement to Eddie Gran as well because he also started working with the OL when he came on board. A guy looking back is under appreciated in his ability to coach a ground game attack. And I was hard on him.
I put up the guys we recruited in another thread but not many saw it.

This is the 2017 class these guys would be coached by Schlarman for 4 years before he passed. They would of been eligible to play in 22 due to the covid year.

Our 2017 OL class recruited by Schlarman and coached for 4 seasons if they had made it.
