Look at my amazing predicting ability! Go Cats!I think the Cats win this one! Cats by 5!
When it counted, he dribbled into the corner and fell down.I thought the kid for 17 was good, but if he is the number one pick the draft must be really weak.
To busy watching Little House on The Prairie re runs he aint got time for no congratulations.....Not after this victory, I need a good week to let this victory soak in, but I am disappointed that Cal hasn’t congratulated Coach Pope on the victory. Maybe he has and asked Pope how to beat the Blue Devils!
I think it was something like 50,000 per use to use "Final Countdown" maybe more. I think Europe sold their music library so maybe it doesn't cost as much now.Tony has no problem paying for music - didn’t he pay some absurd amount for Daniel Bryan’s music?
Problem is that he will go to the worst team in the league. He is a great player, but he’s not a franchise saver. Hope he shuts down for the season and starts getting ready for the draft.Look, the kid is really good already, and only going to get better.
The Flagg love isn't for the college fans. ESPN doesn't care about NCAA until the tournament. ESPN is pushing Flagg for the real money, the NBA fans.
I hope in this stretch of pseudo-cupcake games that we get to see longer stretches of Perry and Noah in the second half if we have a decent enough lead. Help preserve the legs of some of our guys and see what they can do when they get into the flow of the game. maybe start bringing them in around the 12 -10 minute mark and give them some extended run.The next 3 weeks is a very important time for this team. Pope gets time to work and perfect there game. Once you get to January, you have limited opportunities to really work and install due to preparing for your next game. Every 3-4 days!
The reason i turn it off when it is not game action. No halftime, no pregame, no postgame. NBA League Pass saved me last night during halftime. Not sure about anyone else, but the non-stop Flagg slob fest last night and today is a complete joke. ESPN had no idea what to do when we came back and won. They had already written their articles. Front page of ESPN was a picture of Flagg. Bilas all night riding Duke's jock - he shouldn't be allowed to do the color on their games. Jay Williams, the same. Zero mention of any of our guys, just "Flagg's 26 not enough." Wears me out.
Has Pope pressed in the past with any of his teams? Like, on a consistent basis? Have been wondering if and when he has the personnel to do so, will he?Still want to see more full court press. But yes, we did see a sliver of Pitino Ball last night. Our offense was just putrid at times, and that's credit to the Duke defense that really shut down our perimeter game. What I was truly impressed with was the adjustments made, and Pope erased doubts that we couldn't take it inside. Granted, that was when their 7'2" dude was out, but dem's the breaks. We won't see another team that talented until we play Bama and EweTee.
Pope found a way to win, and exploited it. It's what all great UK coaches have done, even Cal in his early years here. It's good to see we have another real coach that is willing to make adjustments. And unlike our previous coach, I don't think it will be a "blue moon" thing either.
Cal hasn’t seen himNot after this victory, I need a good week to let this victory soak in, but I am disappointed that Cal hasn’t congratulated Coach Pope on the victory. Maybe he has and asked Pope how to beat the Blue Devils!
THIS is exactly why I was so mad and bitter toward our previous coach the last 7 years or so. We could have had multiple championships during his time had he just put any effort at all into even the most basic coaching.Pope is making me even angrier at Cal. Such an incompetent in-game coach. Just think of what could've been accomplished, with all that talent, had Cal been at least an above average in-game coach. Just the lack of simple things that nearly every coach does.
This entire last few months feels like a TOTAL reversal and course correction for Kentucky basketball.
yeah, Thanks Cal.I had no idea Duke had won 9 of the last 11 against us.
