I have no doubt that Coach Pope will have a lot of film to view that will help us get so much better as the season progresses. We actually played pretty bad I thought, but we still won the game.

I wanted to win for a billion reasons but somewhere in the top 100,000 was to stick it to Bilas. What a parody he’s become. Bleh.

So refreshing to have a coach that encourages his fans to like the team rather than go out of his way to be contradictory and inflammatory towards them! It’s a long dead horse at this point, but the juxtaposition between Cal and Pope is almost comical. You’ll never get me to believe Pope isn’t a lurker on this very thread. Everything he does seems to be intentional and directed at the way Cal treated this fan base. Bless him.

Spent most of the morning on the road and consuming every bit of college basketball I can. How fun is this? Really bummed we don’t play again for another week.

If we don’t get Denim/icicles before Xmas I’m gonna riot.

Tulane cracking the top 25 in the playoffs on the same day Mark Stoops says he’ll be back next year doesn’t sit well with me. Need Mark to find his Arkansas. People saying they aren’t sold on Sumrall are on drugs. That dude wouldn’t make Kentucky a title contender but I bet we’d be routinely in the top 25 and, like Pope, wouldn’t be looking to leave every off season.

I think it was something like 50,000 per use to use "Final Countdown" maybe more. I think Europe sold their music library so maybe it doesn't cost as much now.

Problem is that he will go to the worst team in the league. He is a great player, but he’s not a franchise saver. Hope he shuts down for the season and starts getting ready for the draft.

I hope in this stretch of pseudo-cupcake games that we get to see longer stretches of Perry and Noah in the second half if we have a decent enough lead. Help preserve the legs of some of our guys and see what they can do when they get into the flow of the game. maybe start bringing them in around the 12 -10 minute mark and give them some extended run.

Half the reason we watch sports is to enjoy the game. Cal’s brand of basketball was really hard to watch. I could only watch so many perimeter pass-pass-drive plays. Which meant the highlights were usually our boys showing some kind of freak athleticism, not some beautifully executed play.

I loved Carr taking it right into his chest for a pump fake and-1 in crunch time.

The reason i turn it off when it is not game action. No halftime, no pregame, no postgame. NBA League Pass saved me last night during halftime.

I don't know what it is (probably oversaturation), but sometimes i can't stand to listen to the same blowhards night-in, night-out, game-in, game-out.

I don't think people who are saying we have to be ahead of Duke understand how rankings work. We aren't the only two teams being ranked, people.

Pope found a way to win, and exploited it. It's what all great UK coaches have done, even Cal in his early years here. It's good to see we have another real coach that is willing to make adjustments. And unlike our previous coach, I don't think it will be a "blue moon" thing either.

Has Pope pressed in the past with any of his teams? Like, on a consistent basis? Have been wondering if and when he has the personnel to do so, will he?

THIS is exactly why I was so mad and bitter toward our previous coach the last 7 years or so. We could have had multiple championships during his time had he just put any effort at all into even the most basic coaching.

It was such a waste of so many years and at the expense of a lot of loss of prestige for our program and even a loss of a lot of fans.

Now we want them to win the rest except for maybe Auburn
