I trailered in quit a few loads of what they call garden soil. Topsoil, compost, and sand for my above ground garden. Not cheap but a 1000 times better than the clay hard stuff. The very best I have ever had, where I used to live there was woods behind me. I tilled in the woods enough dirt to fill about a 3x20 place for tomatoes. Never added fertilizer or anything for the time I had that there. That may have been the type of soil Nail is referring to.
Cow would have NEVER been "beloved forever" anywhere, much less at Kentucky. Cow laughs his way to the bank and is good at it. He will milk whatever for all it's worth. The ONLY thing that saved UK was Cal getting caught negotiating. Cow's current trend is downward. If not for AD and Co. Cow's tenure at UK would have been a complete bust. The 2012 title salvaged him being a complete failure.. EXCEPT for his bank account...
So I've never actually been to Rupp. I've been to a lot of road games and a couple tournaments in Nashville but I never made it up there. Spent most of my life out of state.
I have been battling colorectal cancer since 2018. Was in remission for a couple years before it came back in my lungs. I recently got the unfortunate news that it has advanced further. A mass in my liver also. It's early enough that it's not damaging the organs yet. Doc estimated I likely have 2 to 2.5 years. Going to fight for the cure but we are talking roughly 5% chance.
My brother is helping plan a trip for the Brown game on New Year's Eve. I would love to meet some of you guys. Would like recommendations for stuff like where to celebrate new Year's, to watch my 49ers on MNF on the 30th, pregame festivities, etc.
We will be staying at the Springhill Suites Lexington Fritz Farm. After securing tickets and hotel rooms we will be on a bit of a shoestring budget. Any kind of tips etc for saving money would be greatly appreciated. Getting from the hotel to Rupp and back for example.
We will be arriving in Lexington on the 30th and staying 2 nights. My brother and his GF are bourbon lovers so I would like to do something with that on the trip for them if I can. They are using their vacation time and scraping together most of the funds to make this dream happen for myself and our boys so I'd like to do something small for them.
Like I said I'd love to meet some of you guys (and gals) finally so anyone willing and able feel free to DM me or reply here.
Sorry to hear this brother. I hope you are in that 5% but I'm gonna pray for you and that the Cats bring you a championship. Cancer sucks all around, keep family close and appreciate every day man. I know I have taken alot of things for granted over the years. Wish I could do it over but live and learn.
I think he would have got some minutes to spell Williams. And having a 5 that’s a threat to shoot only makes our offense stronger. Williams is a beast but he’s the only guy they can sag off
My daughter signed to play beach volleyball at UNCW today. Very proud of her and can’t wait to see her grow in an amazing program. I only wish UK had a beach volleyball program! ☺️.
If Z stayed..and we’re assuming that Mark even wanted him…I’m pretty certain that his talents would’ve been used to best effect. Not to mention he would have been conditioned better, and frankly, taught some fundamentals he’s currently lacking

UK: No player above 30 minutes...and our depth/energy kept up the entire game and thought it helped us withstand Duke runs and stay in striking distance...and when we hit some shots..the game was tied vs. being down 5-7 pts
Cal...would have run 4 dudes 32-38 minutes...sporadic minutes for 8th kid...who never gets a flow the entire season. So Pope coaching difference is on full display in box score right now
2. 10 made threes at 40% shooting clip...that is the stat tha tis the difference to me in the game. UK had to win the 3pt line and did.
So sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but our fellow posters on this thread have given you great advice.
MD Anderson is definitely where you want to put your medical confidence. I know of several people who were told by their local doctors to go home and die, who have stayed alive for years and even decades through MDA.
Ultimately, it is all in God's hands. You will not leave this Earth on second sooner than what He has planned.
I send my prayers for you as well and will be fully believing for a miracle in your life!
Enough to know Duke only scored 11 points the last 10 min of the game. To Kentucky's 24. Watched that 10 min a few times. Great defense and play calls. Love it.
