Grumpy you bring up good points - as usual. So, I will ask you a question. Did Georgia do the right thing getting rid of Mark Richt - a guy who AVERAGED 9.7 wins a year at Georgia? If so, why? And if you were the AD at Kentucky and you knew what you know about Stoops and Sumrall - what would you do?
Go Big Blue!
Richt was tired, I thought something was going on with him, he just looked so disengaged on the sideline, took weekends off before signing day. As it turned out, he was sick, the onset of Parkinson. So I guess he had other things on his mind. But the reign ended at UF his last season. With a buy week, he named a running QB the starter, yet we ran the same pass happy offense, three 4 into. He was gone before plane got back to Athens. That UF game just seemed to say I run it the way I want. Terms with Kirby were agreed on, AD was told to get it signed or he would join Richt.
Clearly Kirby upgraded the program, this is a tough year, but he has lost some assistants, replaced them with questionable hires and it's hurt us.
As for UK's decision on its coach, I sometimes say things that catch me some heat I am not wanting, so I am staying out of the UK needing a new coach decision, that's up to UK administration and fans. But I will say I am glad UGA made it's decision.
