The only thing believable that came out of Cal's mouth is that he doesn't know who their next opponent is. He would have been even more accurate if he had simply ended has statement as "I don't even know...".

Here's a question that nobody ever brings up when he constantly has his "We had 5 guys practicing....." WTF is going on where these guys are in a Triage Center for recovering from ****ing basketball offseason/practices? Are they playing full contact football without pads? Are they living out Gladiator training?

The poor fans at Arkansas will get tired of this nonsense by the new year. It's just insane.

DJ Wagner is washed. Just completely washed. He needs to play 4 yrs of CBB but the last 2 as far away from Cal as possible. This is becoming Kevin Walls like only Kevin had the torn ACL excuse and it was in the 1980's where recovery/surgical procedures weren't as assured of a comeback. DJ? He's age of what should be a FR entering CBB now, but still.....he looks awful.

Cal better be careful with Adou--he played well his Daddy may want to revisit his NIL payout like last year. LOL

Don't think so. Oweh is not even on the radar and this is a deeper more talented draft than last year's. Garrison would be the starter here next year, he will be here. I honestly think he has a better chance of blowing up and getting drafted, bigs are harder to come by, but I think both will be back next year, they seem to love it here.

MARK STOOPS Q&A:

* On BVG… I expect him to be out there at QB first offensive snap. Practiced full today. Should be good to go. Hoping he (and others) can finish this season strong.

* Good timing on open date. Needed it bad. Not near full strength, but mentally, we’re in a better spot.

* Did a lot of good on good last week and continued with some this week.

* Important to get the other QBs and more young guys on the field Saturday. Have been honest with the team, we haven’t always been our best against an FCS team or someone we are expected to beat. We can never go into a game thinking that way. Challenged the team to embrace that this week. You have to go take care of business so we can get those guys on the field.

* Hoping that Maxwell Harrison is full-go. He’s been practicing fully. His presence is important.

* On where they’ve grown the most during the last two weeks to prepare for the final stretch… Mentally, just being fresh and dialed in and understanding we still have three games remaining to accomplish some things.

They may come out a LITTLE flat, but with such depth, all 9/10 guys will not play that way. The biggest thing I will be watching for is Jaxson Robinson to have a bounce back game. This kid really struggled all game v/s Duke. I expect him to come out and prove that was a fluke game. If I know his makeup like I think I do, he will. When you have a bench with 4/5 guys who could start, it is hard for all 9/10 guys to play flat. Noah and Travis will definitely be fired up and ready to go. It will be another chance for them to prove they can play, same for Chandler. It expect good games from all three, obviously the studs will come out and ball, but i will be watching these 3 and Robinson.

JMHO...... I think the talking heads at ESPN are very upset that Kentucky basketball is back. They all wanted so bad for Cal to stay another 10-20 years in hopes of Kentucky not being relevant. They know Cal isn't winning anymore big-time games. Now, Coach Pope comes along and beats their precious Duke. So, who do they blame and lash out at, BBN.

This is not a knock on either of them. But Perry nor Noah shouldn't play in competitive games. Now if someone has an injury that may change, I think they are capable. But as the 11th & 12th men, there simply aren't the minutes for them.
Now next year they may contribute more, and I think by JR year could be key contributors.

This! I believe Pope will play 10 with Chandler being the 10th man. I don't believe Chandler or Almonor as the 9th guy will be many minutes against better opponents. But they will still get some but against good competition 8 players will get the majority of minutes.
Perry and Noah will get minutes against the mid major teams that remain on the schedule. Come January they won't play against SEC teams unless the Cats are up big in a few games.
Nothing wrong with that. They are what typical Freshmen used to be. Play more next year and likely play a lot of minutes by years 3 and 4.

I am no fan of Jay but I took the Jay Williams video to be a little more “yeah you guys earned it but the big corporations aren’t interested in an other Rudy story”. To me he kinda stuck his neck out to congratulate us and spilled some facts.
