I’m thinking it’s because we get beat off the dribble so easily that they’re afraid to play up and contest the shot. Or they’re just lazy and don’t care. One of the other.
It has gotten totally effin ridiculous. Refs blow whistle every time someone falls down, it’s just about automatic. Along with several other things that’s about to ruin my enjoyment of the game.
And the crazy thing is that we are waaaayyy too experienced to be playing like this! IMO this all lands on Pope! He’s not demanding enough and just too damn nice.
