We have a distorted, myopic and ignorant, view here in 2024 with our degree of ease and luxury. Things will (have always been) getting broadly better, but they would've been much better without the idiocy coming from the left and this failed administration.

Maybe best in the end, in the always darkest before danw sense, who knows... lets' hope.

The key to contracts is the length. Should never be more than 5 years, which is what Pope and Brooks both currently have. I don’t care how much you pay anyone, but keep the length at 5 years. If you renegotiate after a few years, just make sure the years you add on never amount to more than a total of 5 years.

This will always make the buyout doable. 2 bad years and you only need to buyout 75% of 3 years as opposed to 7 or 8 years.

And he was a great hire!
