A Word on Football Coverage

In all fairness, Stoops and company may be evaluating 100+ recruits for the 2016 or 2017 class when Cal is likely zeroed in on 15-20. Also, it's much easier to show highlight videos of a guy from an AAU tourney than a random d-lineman at a regional camp.
Fairness has nothing to do with it. Being easier & getting more response to that easier has everything to do with it.

Yea, he might as well spend more time doing something that less people will want to hear/talk about and in turn make less money. Makes perfect sense on the business side..... cater to the small vocal minority and lose money.

Again, you know what KSR is and how they operate, so why complain that they don't change to fit what you think they should be?
And yet in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, etc they somehow manage to do it on their radio. Matt has denigrated the football program until recently and thinks it's OK to host a sports show without being able to discuss football. If I hosted a car repair talk show and couldn't tell you anything about rebuilding an engine, that'd be a problem.

Jones is the Howard Cosell of this era, especially for UK fans. I appreciate his crew's work at his site.

from wiki:

Howard William Cohen; March 25, 1918 – April 23, 1995) was an American sports journalist who was widely known for his blustery, cocksure personality. Cosell said of himself, "Arrogant, pompous, obnoxious, vain, cruel, verbose, a showoff.

Jones work ethic is to be admired. < (that is not sarcasm)
